Story: Overall I thought the story was really good. The plot advances in a sensical way without overreaching too much at any given point. The initial premise of why the MC has his driving abilities is a bit outlandish but certainly not the worst offense I've seen in anime. There are some loopholes or realism issues with how cars are discussed at points (i.e. one guy saying he adjusted the pistons in his rotary engine) but otherwise it's nothing that distracts from the main plot ever. Ridiculously over the top but overall decent. Clearly still using 80s style animation / storytelling but modernized. The battle poses and villains constantly going "dudududududdu" was a bit odd, but that and the overall theatrics just leads me to believe that this is The Bi Experience The Anime. Wamuu and Lisa Lisa are the only two that exude top energy. I will never stop laughing at JoJo going "and now you're going to say...", whoever he is fighting saying that thing, and then the intense closeup on them as they wonder how he knew that.

This isn't the type of anime I would normally watch, but something about the trailer I saw and description lured me in. I wasn't expecting to, but I absolutely love this movie.

For me, the characters stories are told very cleanly and neatly. Having seen other reviews, it looks like there is a lot left out compared to the manga -- this is understably done given general time limits for movies compared to series or manga. I was pretty excited going into this but didn't really know what to expect given I never saw the original or even saw ads for either. The animation and overall plot had me hooked right after the first episode and I was impressed with the action sequences in particular. I would have liked some of the demon fights to be a little more involved but it makes sense they, and the entire demon pact (despite it being the initial plot point), would take a back seat given that the story focused more on human interaction and how people most often end up being the true demons.
