The Ancient Magus' Bride

Jan 25, 2019

I think this is one of those shows that you really love it or, you really hate it. If you're looking for action packed conflict and high adreniline plot this is definately not the show for you. But I started it and it's right up my ally. For one, the show has a more western feel to it. It's creatures are most definately. There are a lot of shows that do stuff with Japanese mythology and monsters. but there are not a lot that have much to do with Faeries and druids. It's a very interesting switch and as a fan of early european folklore I was more then happy to see it. It does have plenty of japanese... See full review

Zombie Land Saga

Nov 22, 2018

Spoilers!!

I normally do not watch idol anime, but I love self aware zombies so this one caught my eye.

Unfortunately the show is a bait and switch after the first 2 episodes. Girl gets hit by truck comes back as a zombie. Some dude's like I'ma make you a pop idol. other girls are raving zombies. Mayham ensues.  So the first episode is like watching babymetal the anime. It's cute and happy for a few second and then turns really really metal.
The second episode has a japanese rap battle, not a big fan of rap or hip-hop so just not my thing, and then the 3rd... See full review

Iria: Zeiram The Animation

Sep 23, 2018

My only complaint about this show, is that there needs to be more of it. A whole series, would have been great. Hell I would of even settled for a Manga. This had such a vibrant world and it just feels like everything about it was cut short. It does end a arc. But What happens after. What other adventures are out there for Iria and Kei. To be perfectly honest this series had the potential of being a Sci-fi Slayers. But it just sadly ended half formed. I feel as though this is the start of a story we will never see.

This is what I wrote on a amazon review for the series, I feel as though I... See full review

The Tale of the Princess Kaguya

Aug 7, 2016

SPOILERS!! Ok so this film is art. There are few that I have seen that can truely be called art but the tale of the princess kaguya is one of them. After watching this I thought what the hell was this film about? And thinking about it, I believe that rather then the film just being about life being shit. It was about how expectations of others wiegh on a person over time. How wealth doesn't mean happiness, and that in life well there isn't always a happy ending. And when we expect to much from others well we may indeed lose the ones we love. The movie was somewhat painful to watch but that's life in a... See full review

Lunar Legend Tsukihime

Jan 20, 2016

OK Tsukihime as a Visual novel couldn't keep me entertained for more then about 20 mins or so when I desided that wow there is a lot of me pushing the spacebar sappy music and really crappy and poorly translated writing. How many different ways can a guy say they were my parents and were not my parents and I am moving away from my not parents they were nice to take care of me even though they were not my parents, and so on and so forth. Goes on like this for some time. I don't know if it the fact that the japanese have to put formal use of a name for everyone that bothers me or the fact that hey random... See full review

Dog & Scissors

Jan 15, 2016

OK so this is a story about writers, readers and everything in between, also dogs. This anime is all over the damn place and it's almost painful to watch if you take it seriously in any way, at all.

The animation was average at best. nothing really nice. the sound well this is another one of those that it's about average nothing special and I skipped the theme for almost every episode. The characters. Well this is were things get weird. I think that this anime would have been far better if the main character had been a ghost or something more human in shape or if they hadn't died at all. The whole... See full review

Midori Days

Jan 14, 2016

Ok so I don't usually pick up stuff like this. but when I read the synopsis I couldn't resist. To say that this anime made me laugh would be an understatement. The first 3 mins of the first episode had me rolling on the floor. I have seen a lot of shows and I am not much of a reviewer but I was plently surprised with this one.

The story I will admit is rather dry. it's your basic love story. Main character is a lonely bastard and a wild girlfriend appears. They have a number of things happen to them they get closer and in the end everything works out for the best.

The animation if pretty... See full review

Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou

Aug 14, 2015

Ok so having watched 6 episodes of this show thus far and read a little of the manga. This show has it's momments. So lets address story first. The story is pretty weak. Much of the time when you have a anime like this. No one can find out that the girl is well, something else. In this show everyone knows that the monster girls exist and making it "ordinary" takes away from what this could be. This can add tention for some episodes giving a show a little more then just sex appeal. Animation... it's anime it all pretty much looks the same after a while. Sound, Well as japan voice acting...
