The first anime i ever watched was Dragonball Z (lol). I was about 10 years old and it was on Cheese TV (ahh i can remember those days...).
I rediscovered anime in the last couple of years and it has become one of my pass time (when I am not playing cricket or tennis, at uni, playing games or chilling with friends). What draw me to them was the interesting stories and the light hearted comedy. Of course my genres and views have expanded since then.
I love a good laugh, intersting story and character development. The way the story involves you and you want the characters to succeed or fail is a true mark to a good anime :)

Hey, just finished watching Genshiken, don't know if it's your sort of anime, but I found it quite good, would not recommend Genshiken 2 from my experience, but you'll probably have to watch it anyway.
Ye, it has a weird sense of humour, but still some jokes are funny. thanks for the recommendation, will try and get my hands on it. Sure, I will let you know if something good comes along.
