One Week Friends

Jul 27, 2022

The romance tag is misplaced in my opinion. Although the beautiful backgrounds, and soft colors within the animation would make everything seem more romantic: it fails. The premise of one losing their memories every week was unique, nice, and I enjoyed the way they followed it through. However, I feel like the romance tag is what kept me going through episode by episode. If this was simply just a normal slice of life, I might've felt like dropping it earlier on. However, episode 12 ends with no closure, no confession etc,. There's moments where you can obviously tell the male lead loves the girl, or maybe... See full review

Our love has always been 10 centimeters apart.

Jul 23, 2022

To be honest, I didn't see anything too special about this anime. I liked the 6 episodes instead of the normal 12. It showed that the producers knew how rich the story is, and made it more interesting and faster paced by reducing the fluff (boring reused events/arcs).  However, at the end I feel this entire path and laid out template for the anime was completly ditched. The romance, and relationship between the two leads seemed resonable, their interactions, reactions, love for one another -- mostly everything. Then at the end it kind of just ditches that. The reality of the anime kinda just leaves... See full review

So I'm a Spider, So What?

Jul 20, 2022

Lets get straight to the point, the leading reason I did not entirely "fall" for this anime was the straight up amount of coincedences. It felt, and literally was, like the game dev decided to play its own game. The MC (a spider), was essentially given every overpowered skill, ability, or power. Although this was funny, and nice for the first couple of episodes. You can get to see that progressive growth from weak to strong, but once the spider got decently stronger, it was overpowered. From there, it just started snowballing. It took me quite a long time to actually realize that this was going... See full review

Noragami Aragoto

Jul 20, 2022

This was personally an upgrade from season one (Noragami). I loved how certain elements followed into this season, but most importantly I loved how this season built off the previous one. Most of the mysteries, and hints dropped in the first season were picked up, contiuned, and finished in this season. The characters were great, and animation was perfect, and sound had nothing particularly off-setting. Simply put, if you loved the first season you will hands down love this season.  I personally enjoyed uncovering Yato and his painstaking, bloodly past. I also like how the romance also kind of picks... See full review

Dusk Maiden of Amnesia

Jul 20, 2022

Dusk Maiden of Amnesia. This was one of the most interesting and unique romances (and overall story) I've ever seen.  *NO SPOILERS*
Story: I adored the plot. Simple. I loved it. I know there are a lot of other reviews that seem to find plot holes, or go simply too far into the story. The story was brilliant. I enjoyed the minor aspects and premises of the anime. The supernatural, horror, romance somehow played together awfully well. Usually mixing loads of different tropes end up as a mess of everything. But this was truly nice. From the first episode it gets you hooked. Personally, I... See full review

Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs

May 22, 2022

I adore this anime solely because the MC has balls! He is not afraid of beating the living sht out of people who he doesn't like. He is surrounded by girls, but he doesn't care!  Such a funny anime, the MC does not hesitate to voice his thoughts and do as he wishes. He is OP, rich, and somewhat begins to attract strong (politically) women, which is shocking because in this anime its the other way around. Women have all the power, and the males are supposed to beg for their hand in marriage.  The story is unique (somewhat), and especially with the characters I have no doubt it is one of my... The Case Study of Vanitas

May 22, 2022

The overall story in my opinion doesn't really have any aim. Other than the overarching fact of mystery. You don't really know anything about Vanitas, and the more you watch the more you understand him. The anime has a really good balance. There is action, fighting, goofy funny scenes, romance, violence, and wholesome moments. I can't really say there was any "filler" episodes. All the episodes are unique and bring out a new side to a certain character. This is season one, and season two is already out. It is a good start, you really get a feel for the characters and the concept.  I... See full review

Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie

May 22, 2022

6 Episodes In: Honest Opinion Being brutally honest, this anime is a solid: okay. The wow-factor in this anime is simply the animation changes of the female lead (shikimori -- who is a badass). I liked how the animation turns super detailed, and the entire art style changes when shikimori turns on her badass switch. This made the episodes really fun to watch for a while. As such I gave animation a 8/10. I was not expecting high-tier animation in a romcom. But since it was a 2022 summer anime, I was curious to see how good it could be.  The story is original but generic at the same time. It... See full review

The 8th Son? Are You Kidding Me?

Jan 28, 2022

There's nothing to it. I've read other reviews, and honestly, the only thing I have to say about this anime is it's generic.  It's the typical op mc, new fantasy world. Rich, has a harem and is undefeated.  The characters are normal, with no real back-story or character development. Hard to understand or even connect with any character in the entire show. The animation and sound are normal, nothing exceptional. The story is as mentioned, as typical as it can get with isekai animes.  Overall, 2/10.

Maoyu: Archenemy & Hero

Jan 26, 2022

I mean, to be honest, there really isn't much of a "wow" factor, or anything crazy going on within this anime. Sure the ideas are portrayed a bit differently, the hero and demon king fall in love. But really that's all that happens. It's a slow-paced anime in the big picture, however, it's fairly fast and conclusive when it comes to battles and arcs. As expected from the tag it is political but sometimes I have to stop and take some time to understand what was happening in the story/plot.  The voice acting was very well done, the animation wasn't anything too special. The characters were... See full review

Love and Lies

Jan 17, 2022

Let me begin, this anime is, in essence, the classic "What IS love", anime where the premise is about learning about love, and obviously seeing both the joy and the pain. But regardless this anime is far from generic or the same as others in the genre. Trust me.  Currently finished watching the anime. Love and Lies have a very similar vibe to the anime "Scum's Wish". If you enjoyed that title, then I can assure you, you'll love Love and Lies. The animation is exceptional, however, the large eyes and facial animation caught me off guard (you do not usually see this much effort in... See full review

Tsukigakirei

Jan 12, 2022

To be honest, Tsukigakirei was a generic young love-school-based anime. It hit all the spots, but for me, it was dreadfully slow. Each episode felt very very long, and sometimes I just wished it could move just a little faster. The ending was well done, but not spectacular. My favourite part of this anime was the little boy's mindset and the quotes he kept using as motivation from an author "Dazai". Wholesome, romantic, but slow.  Overall portrays middle school love almost perfectly. Not too much dialogue from the characters though. And the CGI animations were really annoying. The main frame... I've Always Liked You

Sep 8, 2021

Let me get straight to the point. There was nothing unique or special about this anime. It was a typical romance in high school. I watched a related movie which has the same characters but from another POV (point-of-view) called 'The Moment You Fall In Love'. If you have watched that already, this movie has the same animations, sound the only difference is the story doesn't only revolve around one character/two characters and their love, rather it focuses on a huge love triangle and all the characters involved in it.  Regardless I didn't like the fact there wasn't a dedicated POV the viewers were... The Anthem of the Heart

Sep 7, 2021

Wow! Simply wow!  NO SPOILERS! After watching this I can understand how some people might confuse this movie for a clique typical romance. However, this movie is just the opposite! For a 2hour long movie, I was definitely entertained, which was surprising since it didn't have any supernatural or mature themes (for ex. like your name. or A Silent Voice).  The story appears at first to be a bland, classic, romance that is very common in the anime realm. However! The ending was vastly unique. I haven't seen an ending like that one, although one could probably expect it, it actually happening... See full review

Weathering With You

Sep 6, 2021

The animation and unique storyline caught my attention. However, after fully watching this movie, I have a hard time saying it was a top-tier romance anime when compared to other supernatural romances (like 'your name.')  The story was something I have yet to see, with the involvement of the weather and the sky. But! The romance... was practically non-existent in this movie (I understand it was young love but regardless). When the male lead realizes he has feelings for the female lead, I had to stop and think: How? - Since nothing really caught my attention as "love" or "romantic"... See full review

Josee, the Tiger and the Fish

Sep 5, 2021

Reality. That's what this movie really does a good job of portraying. Reality. Let me start off by saying from all the other movies I have watched thus far, this has been the only movie with this type of storyline and characters. I can understand why people might call this movie generic, it would probably be due to the love triangle, or the ending. However, I don't agree with that. Love triangles occur in reality, more often than one would believe. As such, they occur in anime quite a bit too. However, the way this love triangle ends is unique compared to others I've watched. MINOR SPOILERS IN THE... See full review

I Want to Eat Your Pancreas

Sep 4, 2021

NO SPOILERS - HONEST REVIEW This movie leaves your heart literally throbbing. I want to start off by saying this movie was really well made, and if you are looking for a romance that pulls all the right strings at the right times, and has a perfect ending. Then yes, this movie is worth every second you spend watching it.  I found the story kind of generic at the beginning. Simply because it had a twist of popular girl falls for unpopular guy due to a coincidence. However, other than that the movie is somewhat unique; nevertheless, I have a feeling there are multiple similar plot lines out there. The... See full review

We Never Learn

Sep 3, 2021

Okay, let's get straight to the point. This anime was horrible. I understand it is a harem, and in most cases, harem anime do tend to be similar to this one. However, the plot was atrocious. The mc was oblivious beyond belief, to the point where I felt angered just from watching it. If you don't like oblivious mcs then please don't watch this anime.  Sure there were some good parts of the anime, the ending was indeed fairly well made. It did make me contemplate watching the second season. The characters did make some moves but in general, this was the type of harem where basically everyone and... See full review

Sep 3, 2021

NO SPOILERS - HONEST OVERLOOK I'd like to mention I can understand the appeal of this movie. With that being said, I didn't entirely like the story, it was slightly bland and for me, it was pretty predictable. Of course, it had some good plot twists, and events I didn't foresee-- but most major movements were pretty easy to predict.  However, the ending of this movie left me satisfied. It didn't leave a cliffhanger or an overall misplaced ending. It was well put together and really wrapped up the love between the couple.  As for the animation, if you are expecting animation similar to... See full review

A Silent Voice

Sep 2, 2021

Where do I even begin with this masterpiece?  The emotion, the anger, the sorrow, the pain, the want to be loved and accepted -- this movie was intense. This movie is a very down to reality movie- with minor traces of romance and suicidal themes. Although it is a long watch, the moment you lay your eyes on the screen, I promise you they won't be going anywhere for the coming two hours.  The story was extremely well made. It had plot twists, it had suffering, it had love, it had pain, it had mental breakdowns, and it took a deep dive into reality. Monsters have hearts. In this story, the monster... See full review

5 Centimeters per Second

Sep 1, 2021

Review on movie overall: *NO SPOILERS* *NO SPOILERS* Overall, the movie did a good job of portraying unrequited love. It was sad, depressing even. How a single failed love can truly break someone. This movie was truly all about how love isn't always made to work. You can fall in love at first sight but never confess. You can kiss a girl but have fate part you. The storyline, the attention to detail, the aesthetics - was all top tier.  If you have been in a situation with unrequited love, trust me, you will love this movie that much more. Oh my god...I never thought the day would come where I can finally say..this was perfection.  A boy, a girl...suddenly encapsulated in a surreal dream - or so they thought. Realizing they were swapping bodies, this alone was unique and something I haven't seen in a romance anime. To be fair, this was more about life and how we can really, never feel satisfied-- we are always looking for something...someone.  I personally adore the supernatural aspect of this, how in reality it's two people swapping bodies yet in a different timeline. Of which they can seemingly see, talk, and interact during a... See full review

Wow....just...wow! This movie is well made.  I loved it, from the cut-scenes of rain, trains, and the city lights - to the beautiful animation and character development. There were plot twists, moments that you wished you yourself could experience, and moments where you felt the same emotion as the characters.  This movie truly made me hope there was a sequel (partly due to the ending)- sadly, there is not.  I would like to mention it is only 45 minutes, a quick watch, but very entertaining. Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend

Aug 31, 2021

-NO SPOILERS- Overall, this anime was a solid -meh-. I didn't like it, but there wasn't enough for me to say I *hated* it. It has a normal classic storyline with the mc being "inferior" with "high hopes and dreams" but is somehow loved by popular girls in his high school.  Story 4/10: Simply, I didn't see any interesting factors in the story. Maybe one or two plot twists, something you didn't fully see happening but didn't disregard as an option. The characters are boring, all with their own "secret" identities and masks they don't want the other people in their... See full review

Let me start by saying I've only given it the courtesy of watching the first three episodes -- I didn't like it. However, I can see it getting better with the right plot. As of now, there really aren't many interesting concepts nor any good hooks to keep me clicking "Next Episode".  If you look at it, it starts and is heading in the same direction as a normal romance with a popular/gal girl, with an unpopular/otaku who is a social reject. If you like animes like that I would definitely recommend this, if you are looking for something that keeps you on the edge of your seat, I would not... See full review

Funny anime, there really is nothing else to it. It's downright hilarious. Partying, games, friends, alcohol -- it really is funny. There isn't much of anything else other than jokes every episode. Some hints of romance (between cousins) -- and maybe one or two scenes that get your heart racing. Other than that, it's pure entertainment. Would recommend if you like mature comedy -- something like Prison School, or even Saiki.

Lovely, wholesome, overall very genuine-- a nice to watch anime. There were definitely some parts that made me laugh, smile and made my heart race. I would recommend this anime to anyone -- the ending was well made, and I seem to have nothing I would do otherwise. My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU TOO!

Aug 29, 2021

This is the most realistic romance anime you can get. Period. The MC's mindset, ideology, and standard of life are similar to a wide range of people. I find that his thoughts and actions reflect a majority of people in real life. Thus, making this romance/slice of life anime one of the best I've ever watched.  The MC is an all-around loner, who seems to be antisocial, and has gone through muddy days all by himself. Eventually, he finds himself in a service club where he shows his view in life through actions of helping other people.  Words can not simply explain how good this anime/series... See full review

The Moment You Fall in Love

Aug 17, 2021

Overall, there isn't much to say about this as a romance movie/anime. I liked it for sure, but I can't shrug the feeling that it is incomplete, missing something; perhaps a good ending. It left off half-hearted and made me question a good bit of it. Moving onto characters, this in my eyes, was another step backward. There was barely any character development, let alone the mc, side characters, and male lead were left unknown to the viewers.  I'd like to leave this review off on probably the best aspect of this anime, it was realistic and takes a dive into how easy and fast it is to fall for someone...
