Death Note. At first, I thought it was amazing. The story, captivating and left me wanting more. But then around episode 17 it honestly became trash. The whole series had a big downfall, in my opinion, all in one episode. The only time it was good again was the last 10 minutes of the last episode. So the series should've been shorter so not all that extra unnecessary stuff would have been a part of it. But I was able to push through the next 20 episodes hoping for a redemption, and well, I was disappointed.

Now enough about the story and on to characters. Light never meant he was wrong and I loved that, I felt it stayed true to his character and was one of the things why the series kept me hooked. However over time, a lot of the characters got kind of forgotten, Lights mom and sister just kind of disappeared after ep. 28 (37.eps in total), and Misa's only personality trait was being obsessed with Light. When Near and Mello got introduced it all felt unnecessary, and the series should've ended the same just earlier without them being a part of it. But overall the none of the characters were necessarily bad. 

I would recommend Death note for the first 14 episodes, and just because you can't just leave the series in the middle you just have to power through the next 20. Which is a shame since the first episodes were SO GOOD. But if you don't feel like wasting 8 hours from the good part to the ending maybe wait a little while. But It's still worth the watch since it's a staple anime, and because the first part is really good. (The ending was also really good tho)
