i dont really care to delve into the themes in most anime because most of them insist on themsleves with deep meanings but in the end they just get lost in the weeds and the show just isnt entertaining to watch at that point mushi shi is the most immediate one i can think of that got away with it. like imagine if FMA monolouged constantly about mistakes, value of life, virtue etc or spy family about war or family every episode in a vague or direct way, it would get tiresome. its why i typically just focus on the entertaining factor.
im wathcing gintama now just havent gotten around to sitting down and watch more of it but im only on ep 93 so ive got a very long way to go

commented on Volaju's profilethe comparison was for entertainment value not the synonpsis of the story or characters. sonny is just a show with talking heads 90% of the time. although i didnt like the company show it still tried to be more than an ethics/psychology class which made it more entertaining

commented on TheRogueNob's review of Sonny Boyuh rascal, i always suggest people to watch if they are curious regardless of my opnion. of course some people will disagree but its pretty clear that a majority of people agree that the show is decent at best.
It's pretty rare I get almost to the end of show just to drop it. And there is a good reason sonny boy is boring plain and simple. Not every show needs to be action/shounen/ thriller and a lot of shows do a great job doing just that but not this one. Constant rambling that gets the cast no where...

But despite some shows , like this one, you can have good quality but it's not something that I enjoyed watching compared to other shows. I try to be objective in the sub categories but there isn't one that says did you enjoy it which I really didn't it. It's not bad but I didn't enjoy it so the 5.5 rating
I won't go to in-depth since it is a very standard show so this will be short. Hortensia saga is a very standard medieval fantasy. If you are bored and need some fantasy itch then this will scratch it, although it rushes the ending and feels a bit low quality. Regardless if you aren't interested...
