My favorite dramas are probably the idol competitions, singing contests, and game shows. I grew up watching The Supreme Trio where idols get splashed with water for answering questions wrong or forced to eat spicy sushi with lots of wasabi. It was fun watching that show.
I'm watching the singing competition Stars Academy 2 right now. If you like horror and psychological anime I recommend Pet Shop of Horrors. The manga was also really well drawn and interesting. It's about a pet shop in China Town that sells rare and exotic animals as pets. The pets bring tragedies to the families that buy them.
