This one was hard to rate because it's an older anime. It does not hold a candle to modern anime series when it comes to everything from voice acting to animation. With that said, it's worth a watch if you love fantasy and grew up with the classics like Willow, Legend, Conan, etc. It totally gives you a good shot of nostalgia if you're 30+. Totally enjoyable if you don't compare to modern anime and like the traditional fantasy greats. 

I don't understand why people are hating on this anime. I thought it was a great isekai. Yes, there are better, more polished stories out there but I watched this one straight through and enjoyed every episode. I'm in the middle of 99 anime right. So the fact I watched this anime from start to finish without bouncing around speaks volumes. This one kept me engaged and I can't wait for the next season. 

A lot of people are saying this is a below average isekai. While this may be true at the beginning, the story is one that builds. It's the drama and romance elements that really end up shining by the end of ep 12. Then, watching the teaser for next season, you can clearly see that this anime's strength is going to be in the drama and romance.  I'm a dude who typically prefers an isekai closer to Konosuba or even Shield Hero, but this one definitely got my attention. This show is a great isekai because it's one of the few that doesn't have any mature themes whatsoever. Even "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime" has some minor mature themes each episode. While I enjoy that as an adult, I like to watch anime with my daughter, so this is perfect. Not as flashy and fun as some others, it still retained my interest. 

While the show is starting to look pretty dated, it's got a 10/10 plot. Such a fun thriller. Very few anime manage to pull off mystery and intrigue such as Death Note. Totally worth the hype. I just wished it looked and sounded better. 

Super cool movie to watch. There's not point and almost no plot but that doesn't matter, it's a hell of a ride. I've watched this one multiple times throughout the years. It's frigin cool as crap and fun as hell. 

While the plot becomes overly complicated as it goes on, it never totally lost my interest. It's a popular show for a reason, it's damn good. Just don't expect every moment of the show to have you on the edge. There were plenty of points throughout the entirety of the show that had my eyes rolling.

This is a classic. With that said, I think it's also over rated. It's beautiful with some cool concepts but the characters suck and the plot is weird. While im generally a fan of weird, this ain't it folks. 

This is a good anime if your specifically in the mood for an ecchi anime. If you compare to other action fantasies, the series does not hold a torch. If you watch understanding it's an ecchi, then it's actually not half bad for what it is. 

I'm really struggling with this anime. It's very childish, animation is very dated and I just don't love any of the characters. I'm going to keep going but as of now, I'm not I love after 50 episodes. 

The first season was about as shallow as they come but I think season 2 picked up a little steam. It's still has many of those elements that make a great fantasy anime, it just falls short. Still worth a watch, just don't expect to remember anything besides hot ass Hestia.

I'm always confused that I don't see more Black Clover merchandise in places like Hot Topic. It's a great mainstream anime that totally deserves a place next to My Hero Academia. It's quality anime with tons of fun powers and characters. The main character motivates me more than Deku and there are some super bad ass support characters that rival many anime favorites. If you're looking for a new show and haven't started Black Clover, you're missing out. 

Another show people love to hate on for no reason. Many people, like me, watch anime because it offers quality escapism. So I love any anime that makes me feel good. This show isn't the most complex but it has tons of charm. It's got great action sequences, quality humor, loveable characters and some great animation. It's also not too childish like Fairy Tale or One Piece. I think it has a great mix. Haters gonna hate. 

While I initially hated that this was a VR world, the stakes were high enough for you to forget. While sometimes dark subject matter pops up, this show is tame enough for mass appeal. I would recommend this show to anyone looking to start watching anime. It's an amazing show that doesn't rely on panty shots and slapstick humor to reach audiences. There's a reason why people keep making new shows set in the SAO world. It's a classic that every anime fan should have under their belt. 

My daughter and I loved watching this show together! Plenty of drama and comedy. I typically don't love slice of life anime unless they're funny and have more mature themes. Well, this one was plenty funny and did not need the mature themes. There were still some typical anime grope moments, but nothing that would have forced me to stop watching with my daughter. If you like slice of life anime, this romance comedy is a must.

Another one of those shows that totally hits the Japanese comedy itch. Another bizarre show that pumps up the Japanese humor to 10. Not as perverted as a show like Prison School but definitely has some undertones. In the show, Space D's favorite restaurant is Boobies. An overt, Hooters type restaurant found all over the galaxy. Seriously though, funny show. Just don't expect a plot.

Another show that has haters for absolutely no reason. Yes, the show unravels a little in the later seasons but starts off strong. It's a light hearted fantasy anime that only briefly becomes dark here and there. It was something I could watch with the kid but wasn't exactly childish. When it first released, I remember being in love with the show. Those feelings have diminished slightly as the show went on, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this show.

This has a great first season. Super unique and very well planned story telling. This is like a Japanese anime version of the Magic School Bus. It's all about science and they totally hit the nail on the head. Biggest issue is I became bored of the show's formula after season 1.

Honestly, this one hits the spot. It's rare you find something so unique and so well done. It starts off a little rough but quickly picks up speed. This is what anime is all about. Cool and absurd plots.

I couldn't ask for anything more in an isekai. The genre has been populated by a bunch of really bad knock offs. This provides a unique spin on the genre. Instead of starting off great, it starts off horribly for the main character. That adversity is what makes him OP in the end. Definitely don't skip this anime.

I can't believe there are people who don't like this anime. Even my wife, who doesn't like anime, loved the show. It was like Rocky, it had everything from romance to action. Well, whatever weirdos. If you didn't like it, I feel sorry for you. You're missing out on something special. 

AMAZING anime. The only reason I watched was because it was under most popular in my Funimation account. I am so glad I gave it a try. Such a weird mix of themes, art and story. Give it a try, just don't expect a Studio Ghibli type story. This show can get dark. 

You couldn't ask for much more in a show. The only reason I didn't give the show a 10/10 was because the show, as of now, doesn't have much depth. Not to the level of more noteable anime. Pretty darn close to a 10/10 though. 

In short, it has some decent characters but the story becomes super confusing in the later seasons. It'a been a while, but I can definitely remember being like WTF when it ended. 

Not sure why people are hating on this series so hard. It's not the greatest but also not bad if you like isekai stories. It did have a super dark episode about rapist human traffickers, which I did not like. I guess all I could say is that, if you like isekai anime, you'll probably still enjoy this anime.
