Did I enjoy it?
I put off watching this for a long time. There's no way it could be any good, right? I was under the impression it would be a boring show where the only appeal it had was the heavy fanservice. Well, I was wrong. Very wrong. I never thought I'd say this, but this was a fantastic show. While it doesn't have the strongest plot or characters, it is perhaps the most fun I have ever had watching a show. It's completely ridiculous. The boob and butts have supernatural abilities and I'm pretty sure the sound effects for when they hit eachother is literally gunfire. I was flabbergasted during every race. I was expecting manufactered drama and infighting, and while that does happen, it's mainly lighthearted and shortlived, which stays true to the theme of the show. Some of the characters are super shallow, like the MC who just has the backstory of "i like keijo" to some side characters who we get oddly emotional backstories from. I found myself so invested that I actually got emotional during the finale. The subs I watched were so over the top and obviously took some liberties in translating some lines, but they made the show that much more enjoyable. (mottoj/EXP). The jokes/one-liners were on point and the attack-names were amazing. This show is of course not for everyone. You need to embrace the absurd. There is a lot of fanservice/convenient censoring. Even if this show isn't on your radar, just give it a try and it might surprise you.
