Deca-Dence

This review contains vague spoilers!!!

Its a really uplifting show. At least for someone like me, who has lost 3 loved ones in the last month due to Covid. In general it is a show about a girl who finds a new father figure in her life, a "person" who sees life as a waiting room until his death, but gets back to living and makes a difference when it most counts.

When it comes to ideas, the show is a bit extreme, proposing that when a system is flawed you destroy it and replace it with anarchism. Too radical. Reform first, destroy later. But its not just a sophomore exploration of these ideas. There are multiple characters that deal with the dilemma and their relationship with the system itself. Gives you something to think about.

But, whats most important to me, I felt a lot while watching the show, something that was so hard for me to imagine during this personal grieving period.

Finally, if you want a show that is above average in every segment an anime should have, give this show a try. Its just 12 episodes, consume two or three a day, no need to rush things. Rushing is never any good, life is short, give attention where attention is due.
