Afterstory ... well, it didn't really work for me as a romance, which I'd thought it was gonna be. But it was much more successful to me as an anime of alternate realities. I was expecting to have this try to manipulate my feelings to try to make me cry, and thus hardened, was able to withstand Nagisa's story ... only to be blindsided by Ushio's, which -did- actually get me misty-eyed.

I was thinking that it wasn't as good as it was hyped up to be, and wondering what is wrong with me that I didn't love it and that it didn't make me all emotive and feel-y ... until the end. Turns out I did enjoy it, and that it is a rare story that gets better and better as it goes along.  I ended up giving it a 4-star rating, which is really quite respectable on my ratings scoreboard. (Original Clannad has a 3-star rating from me.)

I'm only halfway thru Clannad, so no big elephant tears yet... *grin* Thanks for the warning, though, I'll be sure to have plenty of handkerchiefs around when I start Afterstory...

Just thought I'd tell you I finally started my Clannad rewatch to prep for watching Afterstory!

I think I should give more time to Anime. N I think I wanna watch Berserk as soon as possible

Sadly, I'm still in the same situation asd before. Still waiting to find time to do Clannad rewatch. Only anime I've seen pretty much is stuff I'm watching with other folks. I get to see an episode here and there of new season stuff, but only because they release only one episode per week...  I can often hancle just one episode once a week.  It'd take a while to get thru Clannad and Afterstory at that rate, though.
