 I try to watch anime as a hobby and I've done that for quite a while. I do it for the simple reason that i can do it all the time during my free time. Normally I prefer to watch something comedical with some actual plot. Ecchi is fine, BUT who really can stand to watch that all the time forever? Not me, thats who. That's why I try to give a wide range of things a chance. 

If I had to pick a favorite genre of anime it would be horror. It would seem that all the best shows are the ones that make me feel some kind of fear that visible makes me have a reaction. Content like that is what i crave. 

My top 3 anime that I love to watch are as follow:

1. Shinsekai Yori

I mean if you ever seen it, who doesn't love watching people use phycic powers? There is an underlying horror plot that is revealed throuout the whole show that only really makes 100% sense once you have watched the entirety of the show. After the very first time I watched the show i was visibly shook because I was naive on what kinda of anime I was getting myself into. I seriously think that its worth a watch if you feel in the mood for a show that makes you think a bit.

2. Steins: Gate

The show starts slow, if you have a monkey brain then maybe it's not for you. BUT, if you can stick around and watch it a few ep in then you will most definately not regret your decision. The show made me bawl like a little tiny baby when the MC had to make the toughest decison of his life over who lives or dies. Clannad, Angel Beats, or even Plastic Memories, aint got nothing on this anime.

3.One Piece

Now I know what you're thinking, really this is my third favorite? Well if you have watched it as long as me from day one you'd love it too. This anime was one that inspired me to puruse my life as a purveyor of anime, hence the name otaku. The story is really interesting and it is still ongoing at 900+ episodes.

Anime is something I love to do and will continue doing for years to come. If anyone tells you it is dumb or childish, try showing them some hentai. They will quickly realize their mistake.
