My First Girlfriend is a Gal

Jun 1, 2019

A wholesome Gal gag sounded fun, unfortunately this show doesnt quite hit the mark, in fact, it makes it harder to hit every second it progresses. Male characters are pure - theyre annoying if theyre side, and maybe a little too close to home for some with the protag Female characters are all wholesome gals - Whilst interesting, Also a little annoying with no variation. the biggest crime for me was the one-sided emotions this show faces and how forgetful it all is. Starting with forgetful, the characters wont stick around in peoples minds much and the plot of the show is well, nothing really. Nothing is... See full review

WATATEN! an Angel Flew Down to Me

May 31, 2019

not amazing, questionnable at times, and pretty much the same as other slice of life anime, It was a relaxing watch throughout. whilst a regular and average show with certain ideas put forward which were honestly not something I enjoy, Episode 12 went ham and gave the whole show a reason to exist. consider the episode a saviour from being "Yet another show" to something slightly better. Other than that, its a moe show for easy watching with comedy hints, and subtle stabs to jail time. something to put on the side whilst you work or play games.

A Sister's All You Need

Jul 25, 2018

A very misleading title. Not to say I got caught out though, as I would usually avoid the "oreimo" or "eromanga sensei" stuff. after a good misleading 5 minutes, the show actually becomes a Drama-Slice of life-comedy about Novel Writers and their way of life. I would imagine the only reason anyone carried on watching this was for Nayuta who honestly, is the best thing to happen to the show, otherwise it would be a pretty painful experience. Its not worth Full attention but as something on the side, its enjoyable at most.

Laid-Back Camp

Jul 23, 2018

I dont have much to say as the show speaks for itself - Laid Back Camp(ing). If you're looking to relax or settle for bed, this show is perfect. I wouldnt say because of the characters or the story, but mainly the music. I am in love with this shows Ending and mid episode backing tracks, that alone kept me watching.

Hinako Note

Jun 19, 2017

Hinako note is another slice of life comedy aimed towards a bit of everyone. It's cute and vibrant, however the show seems to be hitting some spots of potential revealing areas, that are a little confusing. I can't tell if it's mild censored Ecchi or if they're trying to keep everyone's attention.  Either way, each character has their charm and environments are beautiful. A good watch for those looking for something easy going and little depth.

honestly, a sort of disappointing watch. couldve been a lovely romance but instead its a pretty ecchi with little going for it. whilst Ai is cute and some feelings were definitely developed, nothing is shown and instead does zilch at the end. An okay show to watch when you need time to pass but otherwise, lacking. personal: 4  to others: 2

Muromi-san

May 10, 2016

I dont review things as much any more, but I felt this was needed. not in terms of a review, but rather, a Warning. This isn't your normal Cutesy comedy mermaid show, infact, this show has a lot of adult themes, and occured to me why (Spoilers alert) The mermaids themselves, like everything in the anime, are based on mythology and such, and takes the role of making them live trough the extinction periods. so each character is 9 digit long in age.  The show is ecchi, violent and has drug use inside, something that caught me off gaurd. I'd usually complain, but I couldn't help but fall in love with... See full review

Mujaki no Rakuen

Nov 27, 2015

Really, this actually exists as an actual anime and not as a H, because if it were a H, the police would come batting your door down before the openning finishes. Its meant to be innocent, but everything about this show is far from it, and its just awkward to watch. A guy goes to a school reunion, gets the piss taken out of him for being Neet and heard a rumour of a pool that sends you to another dimension at night. He soon find out after falling in and resurfacing to the sight of 5th grade girls, from which he decides to try changing the future of. considering he actually hung around with cute girls, this... Aug 21, 2015

Quite possibky the best hidden gem ive seen in ages. since watching clannad, ive been waiting for something similar to pop up. Kobato, simply said, is amazing. it has that nice warm hearted anime, but its those absolute magical moments that complete this anime. music is beautiful, characters are nice and the story is fantastic. definite pick up!

One Off

Jul 19, 2015

This OVA short series is actually really nice. I found it on a whim and decided to watch it, and its really strange yet satisfying to watch. Its focus on Motorcycles is really strange for anime, which makers for a really nice change. It still has the cute girls doing cute things as the main selling point,  It still has a school setting and a cafe too. Neither are a strange or new thing, but its something we are used to by now. The music is extremely chilled out and the animation is nice, but what shines the most is the characters. Lively and cute, but also one I havent seen before. An Australian who... See full review

Im liking it so far, but it seems awfully over rater. I was expecting more from this but I was mislead. I like it, but not enough for it to become a favourite, though the themes and characters are something I enjoy. Shame that some are down right irritating and they commonly fill the episodes with his boring-ass speeches

Bikini Warriors

Jul 9, 2015

There isnt much to say about this one, but this will get down rated for the misunderstanding of the show. Its mocking people who play RPG's and how RPG's work. Y'know, the whole "Females wear less on higher levels" logic, and how thirsty virgins surround them in public places. Its ace, I think its funny, the girls are cute and the humour seems mint. Cant wait for the next episode!

I liked this and it strangely reminds me of Kiniro Mosaic but without the ultra cheesey Engrish. It wont be everyones cup of tea, A comedy, Moe, Slice of Life series with cute girls doing cute things. Just like most things in the genre, this will be just the same as most others. I thoroughly enjoy this type of anime, and I can only imagine people who enjoy the Moe,Comedy and Slice of Life would even think of going near this series. Hopefully, this stays energetic and and cute, and doesn't stray too far to being a bad show. It had a nice intro and it is Extremely vibrant in colour. A nice OP, Very cute... See full review

Okusama ga Seito Kaichou!

Jul 3, 2015

A comedy that im sure if you have read the Synopsis, has a very strong Ecchi side. Condoms shown in the first 15 seconds, And a whole lot of boobs. It has a strange story but something that im sure anyone can handle.Actually, im pretty convinced this is meant to be one of those Near-Hentai experiences. Though, slightly enjoyable due to its rather energetic atmosphere. Will be interesting to see how things go with this show towards the end, but for now its nothing too special and pretty much the bare-breast ecchi relief for this season.

Gangsta.

Jul 2, 2015

First show of the season, and by golly this was the one I had my eyes on for a long time. Not only was it just the first episode, but im sure I speak for a lot of people when I say this show will dominate the season. I will warn that this show is definitely not for the younger audiences!   As a Gangster themed show should be, this doesn't hold back on the back street crimes. From the first episode it shoves Blood, Anger, Violence, Sex, Drugs, Money, Guns, swords and badasses everywhere. Its perfect, I was worried that the gangsters would be a bunch of school skippers who intimidate... See full review

Nisekoi:

Jun 13, 2015

I dont want to be too picky about things, but in general, I feel Nisekoi is a real drag. The first season was enjoyable because it was different, and I thought a new season would make a fresh start and revive it a little bit, but It hasnt. since the first episode, it doesnt feel refreshing or anything different, and it seems completely off topic everywhere. I must say, I dont think the 2nd season is worth the watch at all in comparison to the first season. I adored Episode 8 but thats it, every other episode had me left with little to no interest and was getting slightly bored and how annoyingly dull this... See full review

Natsume's Book of Friends

May 10, 2015

Someone I met a long time ago has quite the thing for the main character, Taking a look i found it to be a Noitamina series. A particular Tag I like to see as a lot of the anime with the tags are outstanding. This is no Different. Story: 8/10 It really clicked with me. I love seeing fascinating monsters and creatures that are unusual. The whole series features fascinating creatures from start to finish, some a little generic while some really stand out and look amazing. The story is really relaxed but nice and is worth while. Rowdy Sumo Wrestler Matsutaro

May 10, 2015

I picked this anime up during the time I first got into simulcasts and went on a mad spree of watching everything as it came out. This awful show managed to get into my list and had to watch it until the end. Usually, I would Review each part and give some info, but this really isn't worth it. Its really boring, rather silly and annoying, and doesn't really do much to keep you watching. The animation is pretty bad and not on par with most of the shows, the sound if just really half done and empty, the characters are just stupid and silly. I really couldn't find myself watching this again, and this would of... See full review

Sound! Euphonium

May 10, 2015

As great as this season is, some shine better than others. Sound! Euphnium is easily one of the top stars this season.  Story: 8/10 School clubs are a common topic, and KyoAni are going forward with another Music club hit. Instead of it being rock/pop type music, this is more Classical focused. Heading for the Nationals is the main goal, and im sure this anime will please many people who enjoyed shows such as K-On! and Your Lie In April. Animation: 9/10 Visually, its stunning and clean. the animation is fluid and i usually expect nothing less from KyoAni. Not much to say, just watch it for... See full review

Initial D Extra Stage

May 9, 2015

I had my worrying thoughts as soon as I saw the studio taking on this show. SHAFT. As much as I like Shaft's work in terms of art and the comedies they produce, they should not be allowed to touch an existing series at all, and should be left for them to do what they do best and particularly ruin shows with their way of animating.  Fortunately, this doesn't really need to be watched at all and can be skipped, but thorough watchers like myself will choose to watch this. Its an optional look in to the Sileighty drivers, and a more in depth look into the characters. This was a nice thing for me as I... See full review

Initial D Third Stage

May 9, 2015

Even though this is a movie, its a perfect sequel to the existing 2 stages. It has a large focus on Takumi and Mogi's relationship and fills those little holes that you have in the heart from whats going on. I won't go into too much detail with this one being as its a movie, but what I can say is that its still as solid as ever in the categories given. The story is perfect in its move forward and patching of gaps in the first two stages, the animation in both the 2D and 3D is consistently good, the sound is still top notch and the characters are still brilliant. It keeps the maturity levels high, with no... See full review

Initial D Second Stage

May 9, 2015

If you haven't already, here's my review for the first Initial D: http://www.anime-planet.com/users/liamb1996/reviews/18907 As a comeback, Initial D second stage continues the fantastic story of Takashi in his AE86. But how well does this do? Story: 10/10 the continuation from the first stage is fantastic. It now focuses not only on the racing, relationships of people, but also the relationship with people and their cars. the continuing story line from the last series is perfectly done, and is definitely a worth while watch for those who watched the First Stage. Initial D, one of the few car related anime out and it still stands as being the greatest. It captures the heart of any racing and anime fan out there, and has become the favourite of many - including myself! Story: 10/10 Well, with the little racing anime's out, the story is original and something that you will love. Focusing on Takumi, the 18 year old Tofu Delivery Driver, it shows the beginning of his rise to fame through out the Akina Pass. It's a nice watch with a big focus on the cars, but also a huge focus on the relationships of the characters. It is perfectly balanced, making this is a nice... See full review

Plastic Memories

Apr 11, 2015

First half is first impressions, check after for the finale! This show is a complete shocker. First off, I want to point out that the recommendations for this being similar to black bullet is very slim, And do not watch this thinking its Black Bullet Version 2. This series, in fact, is incredibly deep and emotional, and for a show that has one episode, It's kind of scary how teared up  one can get from just a single episode. the show is about Androids with human spirits living and working alongside normal humans. Its a little strange but the concept is really damn cool, and they have given... See full review

Punch Line

Apr 11, 2015

Probably on the ecchi side of anime, this will be the most perverse anime this season alongside Highschool DxD BoRn. Probably has the most strange story I've seen in a while, "If you get to excited, an asteroid will hit earth and wipe out Humanity". Oh. As a spirit though, he can go back and keep trying to avoid getting "Excited", which is infact, to not look at good underwear. The Perfect basis for an ecchi show, cute girls with panty shots, MAN ARE WE IN FOR A TREAT, BEST GET THE FAMILY AROUND FOR THIS ONE. Not much worth mentioning, The OP and ED were okay to say the least, the... See full review

Catching up with Simulcasts and This season is marvelous, one of my favourites so far. Nothing has disappointed me just yet. I hav ejust gone through and watched this show's first episode, and im rather shocked. The show is about Chinese Zodiacs, a weird but nice blend to see in anime. Chronicles of the Going Home Club

Apr 9, 2015

Probably one of the most Average series you will ever Watch in all honesty, Chronicles of the Going Home Club is still enjoyable to say the least. So what club are you going to join? the "Going Home Club" is the best answer fi you want to avoid clubs completely. Unfortunately, the Going Club is a real thing full of bubbly characters with some nice surprises. The characters, although not very original and not very memorable, are still quite nice. The voice actors given to the characters and the personalities make it different from the others, so it seperates itself from fitting in with the same... See full review

Military!

Apr 9, 2015

Shorts are always the things I look forward to in the new season, as they do much more in the 4 minutes given, if they utilise it properly. For me, Military was a great show and was one of the 3 shows i looked forward to during it airing. Most of the characters take that Chibi style, but can be really OTT in some cases. Its cutesy visuals and vibrant colours aren't to giggle about though. Its an intense series, that gets really crazy a lot of the time. It focuses on a Character's life after having soldiers sent to body gaurd him, as his dad is some big timer in a war. Weird, but a good enough reason for... See full review
