Glad everything has been going well for you. Life is getting better since my mom's health condition has improved. I really hope she recovers her health, and wish her a speedy recovery.

I'm currently in the middle of changing jobs. Are there any shows that you're looking forward to watching?

Hey! It's a pleasure to meet you stnh!

I'm hoping to connect with more active members on Anime Planet! How's your weekend going? How is life treating you?

mans gotta calm down, im not trying to get you to change your ratings in the slightest. if im being too hard on you then just say so, i tend to be full on when having discussions about anything, and i cant tell when i am being like that

anywho, ds is more bland i would say. enemies got introduced way too early on, which made predicting the show about how it will end too easy. with jjk, there is still that element of mystery as they have a larger enemy pool. ds villains are too basic with cringy backstories. jjk actually manages to make me be annoyed at the villains, whilst simultaneously loving them because they're so well written. like mahito (literally my favourite character) is MILES better than muzan, and i am not saying that because i like him more, it is because he is actually a more developed villain. i guess ds beats jjk when it went through the infinity fortress arc, but even thats a bit iffy seeing as ds has gone a bit downhill, whilst jjk just keeps improving (like the last battle in ds got so dragged on and it was so rushed...). in ds, the characters just go from one place to another fighting, then whoosh a sudden training session, oh well back to regular fighting. its repetitive and predictable. in jjk, the characters actually have some depth in them (even the side characters which have an impact in one way or another on the series), whereas ds is very 1D in the majority of cases. for instance, the zenin sisters have an interesting backstory as to what happened to them. oh and whilst we are on the topic, the female characters actually have DEPTH to them. each character in jjk has their own comidic sense which makes them stand out. the relationships in jjk are also a lot better, we get to see how each character becomes better with one another and how they progress together. ds doesn't really do that. animation is better to jjk solely because of the sword effects (even though they're not even real), and the power system is much better explained in jjk, whereas with ds it just all seems a bit random. jjk isn't perfect by any means (no anime is ever perfect), but it just seems better than ds

wow, its almost like one piece and jjk aren't super similar because one of them is modern shōnen and the other one is old shōnen, but there still are some similarities between them. the new generation is more similar to one another than anything. ds, jjk, sakamoto days, csm, dandadan etc. are all very similar in one way or another. thats what i was mentioning earlier. also, read the jjk and ds manga, then you'll see what the real difference between them is

but demon slayer (which i see you gave a rating of 4.5) is very similar to jujutsu kaisen. both of these are recognised as shōnen anime, animation styles are extremely pleasing, both have teens who must overcome whatever impediments they stumble across, both involve demon fighting etc etc. i’d say the only differences really is the set time periods along with other minor details. so it doesn’t make much sense to rate one higher than the other when they’re practically the same anime. lookism is just unusual. don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t the worst anime i have seen, but to give it a 4.5 compared to other anime which are so much better is just surprising. though the mentioned animes are different, in terms of how a few aspects work, they just don’t compare and regardless are so much better imo. the characters don’t really get any development in lookism, it’s just kind of going from a bad guy one day to a good guy the next with no progress made in between, only because the hot guy becomes this protector for the not as good looking characters (so you’re telling me people switch up their ways that quickly? haha nope). animation was alright i’ll give you that, but quite choppy at times so nothing special, especially the 3D moments. the only good thing about it was the final episode, which honestly i don’t think watching all of that was worth it for the end. basically, this anime is what i would write in a wattpad fanfiction back in 2014. the concept of switching between two bodies was an awesome one, and, if done correctly, can turn out to be a well done anime… which lookism just isn’t

hey stnh! how are you doing?

i found your review on aot and i gotta say i agree with you to a certain extent on the second season. it's a lot weaker compared to the other ones, but if you've watched any of the recent seasons, they totally make up for it! thats if you dont mind the animation of course seeing as how a lot of people had a problem with it (even though the current style is more accurate to the mangas). also, how can you dislike annie and JEAN KIRSCHTEIN???

honestly though... how has lookism got a higher score than chainsawman, hxh, cowboy bepop AND jujutsu kaisen (just to name a few)!? i need to know how that anime has scored higher than these!
