Spiderus

Don't let the style make you think this is a kid's show - it's far from it. Do NOT let kids watch this!! There are some pretty mature themes, actually... and scenes that would be too disturbing to even watch if the animation hadn't been so childish. These scenes made the world more believeable though, so I looked past them and focused on the rest of the story.

In so few episodes, you are thoroughly immersed into vivid planets and societies and it's mesmerizing to watch the animation and take in all the new concepts. You are left as confused as the main character, but I enjoyed learning along with them. The world building in this series is some of the best I've seen. The plot ties together so well in the end that I encourage you to stick through the beginning episodes just to see how complex this universe really is! Some parts may seem rushed and confusing, and I had to back up multiple times or pause to try to wrap my brain around what was happening.

Otherwise, this is an imaginative psychological show I'd recommend to older viewers looking for something mind boggling, thrilling, and quick to watch.
