The Villain's Savior

Jan 10, 2022

Ugh, I keep trying to continue reading this because the art is very pretty, and I feel like the ML is intriguing. He actually behaves like a manipulative villain.

HOWEVER, the FL is driving me NUTS. All she does is cry. I appreciate the normality of having weaknesses and being able to shed tears, but she cries at EVERYTHING. She's so jaded by what she read in a book, and can tell that the dude is lying to her! But she still pines after him! She is the epitome of a "damsel in distress", but to the point where it's frustrating.

Another point is just the plot in general. I'm struggling to understand where it's going? I get that their love is complicated because she's destined to be with another and he's an abused boy that turned into an ass, but that's literally the only conflict.

Most of all, I'm struggling to finish this because of the lack of complexity of the characters. They're very shallow, especially the female lead. If you're into characters who basically have no strong points, then go for it man. I just wish she'd get some balls and act with at least a SEMI clear mind. Anywho, thanks for reading~~~
