Hurraaaah! So glad Infinite Ryvius was such a success for you. It is indeed an excellent show. Interesting that you had such a hard time getting into Princess Tutu, but I can understand if you found its look distracting. I very much am used to associating shoujo with clever, wonderful plots, so a cutesie appearance no longer necessary tells me anything about the plot. Glad you enjoyed it in end, though. At least you didn't hate it.

And I will never watch Gintama. Just like I will never see One Piece of Naruto. I have no interest in long-running shows anymore. I tried one episode of Gintama and it bored me witless. I will be buying FMA: Brotherhood on DVD though. That's my next purchase. And Berserk? Well, I'm going to Scotland Loves Anime in nine days and I get to see the first two movies on a big cinema screen followed by panels with some of its creative staff. So it was defintiely worth the wait. :D :D :D :D :D :D

I may take you upon the Sword Art Online recommendation. In all honesty, I have so little time these days. I podcast and I work on my studies. It's always crunch time. Never a break. So fun things need to be relegated to random excursions to a rainy parte of the isle where anime glory awaits. While you're checking out Satoshi Kon, maybe try Kawajiri works as well. Our last two podcasts covered his works and I suddenly feel like revisiting him at some point. Especially VHD: Bloodlust. Anyway, gott afly again. Keep me up to date with what is good in the coming season. Oh! Oh! I also recommend the Fujiko Mine show that was out last season!

Ah Spaceface, I cannot sympathise enough in regards to the post-GiTS apathy. I can't remember what I watched afterwards - I think the next show was the last season's offerings of Fate/Zero and the like. Incidentally, I'm skipping this season entirely: what a load of tripe!

Looking at your wtw list, I'd say go Infinite Ryvius next - that was excellent. A great character-oriented story with a nice mystery at its core. It has a slightly slower pace than GiTS at the start, but by the end, it's chugging very nicely. I stand by my earlier Princess Tutu recommendation - it is not the sugar-coated fluff it looks. And since you enjoyed Paprika so much, check out Satoshi Kon's other works on your wtw list i.e. Perfect Blue, Tokyo Godfathers, and DEFINITELY go for Paranoia Agent (and watch it twice).

As for Clannad, yeah, it was a pile of crap. The show was such torture to get through that it took me a couple of months for each season. But it had to be done because we were, upon request from one of our listeners, doing it for a podcast. That is also recorded now and we got to spend an hour bashing it. I'd hoped for more controversy since we'd invited a fan of the show on to support it but he sort of sided with us on the central question. Haha.

Hey Spaceface,

Thanks for that - I also notice that it's available fansubbed. So very, very, very excited. But I'm going to wait for a proper release. I want to savour my copy with all the love and attention it deserves. :D

oh wow that is going to be awesome when the berserk movie comes out. If ive ever gone to a release debut this is going to be it. I love the anime and it has to be one of my top 5 anime to date. Number 1 being .HACK//ROOTS just because it was the first anime I had ever seen. and #2 would be Outlaw Star/Trigun/Cowboy Bebop. there are a lot of anime that I have seen but really want to watch again. I know that you've seen my anime list and that is a pretty detailed list of all that I have seen though I don't remember all with great detail especially since there has been a lot going on as of late. The one show on TV that I miss is Toonami. That was the greatest thing to ever hit the TV since forever lol. but cant forget the ninja turtles and pokemon and AH real monsters, catdog, ren and stempy, and bevis and butthead. yes these are not all ANIME but thats what I grew up with.

but anyway have you seen Air Gear? or blue gender? or well you know what ill let you pic and choose those from my list that fancy you. but im curious to see which ones you like. obviously the ones rated as 5s are my favorite and I have a lot of those. but if you want a good mystery and some action I suggest Spiral. its interesting and it is all based on real logic and peoples perception. hope ta talk to ya soon and can you suggest other ppl I should add that are fans of berserk?
