I was expecting filler, but I was not expecting to be fighting to stay awake for the last 15 minutes. This was a uselesss movie. It BARELY had a plot (don't ask me what it is because I hardly remmember it despite having JUST  finished the movie), it had no character development, it's not even canon, and it actually goes against canon (the timeline in this makes no sense, it features a lot of cards we never see again, and the characters aren't quite right...spoiler: Yugi's friends--or at least Joey--never would have left him in that building, as we've seen evidenced before). The voices were...weird. (For context, I watched the dub.) Kaiba's voice sounded distant and lifeless compared to in the series, and Yami was lacking a particular "oomph" as well. And don't get me started on the cringe-inducing, out of place original soundtrack. The only good music in this was the instrumental tracks from the series. Everyone except Yugi, Kaiba, and Pegasus were completely pointless in this movie as they accomplish nothing. Whenever it seems like we are going to get more information about the Pharoah or Ancient Egypt, we instead get juvenile comedic relief and more of the duel. Which, by the way, is the entirety of the movie. The entire movie is just two predictable duels. That's it. An hour and a half on two generic duels. It takes more than half the movie just to move the "plot" an inch. And again, there's no character development, so this movie serves no purpose other than debuting a few new cards.

Boring, predictable, nonsensical, useless movie that only gets worse when you realize it was released AFTER the orifinal series ended...
