Agree with you on Tanaka, also, I don't know if you're reading the manga, but you should - because in the manga his character is better but in the anime they kinda ruined him in the season 2's end :/
Tanaka ain't bad, he's a victim who deserves to be acknowledged, he "hates" human and do these villainy things because Satou manipulated him into doing so.
