I'll admit it. I started watching this one for the fan service. Yes, it has fan service but it is restricted to the showers after workouts or competitions. There really isn't much titillation as the shower scenes are always the business of getting clean, no carressing or other types of excitement. So I looked to the story. I am generally not a fan of sports shows and I absolutely detest professional wrestling. That being said, you can really feel the pain and disillusionment as the protaganist struggles in the first several episodes. It's so depressing it is hard to get through the 1st 6 episodes. However, like all sports stories, she pulls it together towards an impressive climax. I can't help but wonder if I might give it a better rating if I didn't despise pro wrestling which is all about fighting to follow the script rather than fighting to win. It is true, this story makes it appear that pro wrestling isn't scripted and they are giving their all for victory. Maybe that classifies this more towards fantasy than sports? It's not the greatest but it has some serious, long duration drama, so dramatic you may not want to continue, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
