Hmm. I know there have been numerous Castlevania games, but the end of the last season seemed to be a natural stopping point.
Yeah, I try not to pay too much attention to the anime awards and lists that the various streaming services do- it's generally just infuriating with whatever the latest shonen or popular isekai is winning everything. I do have hopes that this season's Eizouken will get some recognition next year- it's an excellent series that hasn't yet fallen into so many of the tropes that anime tends to do.
I'm doing well. Still reading a lot of manga, but have watched some anime. I was going to watch the new Star Wars movie last night because I had to run an errand in a neighbor city that has a nicer theater, but I forgot to google where the theater was at before I drove up there, so that didn't happen (I temporarily regretted not having a smartphone). The weather was crazy yesterday- gale-force winds and pouring rain.
High Anxiety is a fun mokvie on its own, but it's more fun if you've seen Alfred Hitchcock's films Spellbound, Psycho and The Birds. Man, I keep saying I need to finish Yamato, and I really do. I've quite enjoyed what I've seen of it. Watching the two versions side-by-side seems kind of challenging. Usually when I try to do that, I wind up not finishing either show.
Ah, nostalgia watches are always fun. I just got back from a short vacation, where I somehow managed to watch nine movies in between going to a concert, eating great food, playing Gears of War 5 and working on two jigsaw puzzles. I finished up my Alfred Hitchcock marathon with The Birds, Vertigo and Psycho, then watched the Mel Brooks spoof High Anxiety. Saw the 80's animated film Heavy Metal, followed by Apocalypse Now and Terminator 2. Also watched two anime films.
