Sarashi Asobi

So cute! You might need some tissues, though! As the story itself progresses, it stresses the difference of what is human, and leaves a heart-warming sensation it's wake. What drives a Grim Reaper? What drives a human? Ai -as he is named by the story's protagonist- is bored with his job as a Grim Reaper. He seeks entertainment from his monotonous life. However, will his interference in Ren's life be what kills her? Or will he sacrifice his own... Anyways, it is a good read; a very touchy story, and somewhat humorous. The first sidestory is a bit odd though(gender bender of the series) and the second... See full review

One Outs

Dec 2, 2021

“What does it mean to be a winner, the last one standing? It means to climb over a mountain of corpses to get to the top. By no means is it a glorious sight to behold, and in fact, it is extremely cruel. Even so, if you still wish to seek victory... then you must become a devil.” Tokuchi Toua’s words reverberate through Kojima Hiromichi’s mind as he steps up in the decisive showdown against their biggest opponents, the all-star Chiba Mariners team. Kojima is the cleanup batter of the struggling baseball team, Saikyou Saitama Lycaons. Even though he is regarded as a local hero, he... See full review

Akagi

Dec 2, 2021

Akagi is a manga about a youngster that willingly discards his life and safety for a gamble. In general it is a great manga, but some arcs simply seem too drawn out and slow. The art isn't very good meaning that, even though that all the characters look fairly different, you can get confused sometimes (the same thing sometimes happens with the plot). Still - it's a great manga, by my standards much better than Kaiji, therefore I recommend it to all of you who like mystery and gamble/mahjong manga with a lot of seinen elements.

Violet Evergarden (Light Novel)

Dec 2, 2021

Really love the character development and progression. Someone devoid of emotions becomes the most real person with authentic feelings I have ever seen. She can't say it out loud but her writing is the best I ever read. She can be formal, yet she can also be genuine. Someone who was once straightforward and clueless became a famous amanuensis. Just look at her from the first time she typed and now is the biggest juxtaposition I have ever seen. I promise you that the limited interactions between Violet and Major are one of the best if they were to ever be adapted. Violet has grown so much and it actually... See full review

The Case Study of Vanitas

Dec 2, 2021

I might seem biased on my rating, especially since I just finished the manga (from the chapters that are currently available), but I thought this manga was absolutely amazing! The story, characters, and development is flowing so smoothly, and I'm curious to see how it ends (as well as worried). I'd highly recommend reading this series! While the first chapters are confusing, its expected, as the author is setting up a new world for us to read and indulge ourselves in! After a while, we start to see the characters personalities really come into light, along with what kind of manga this starts to be: a... See full review
