Allow me to speak on behalf of all the people who enjoy watching an anime. The main character Asta is probably one of the most clichéd characters created. Not to mention he is super annoying in the fact that almost every sentence he says is screamed. It makes it an awful watch for someone who is actually trying to just enjoy anime. The story is decent however the character makes it a hard watch. Until an episode comes where Asta shuts up with all his yelling then this anime is only going to become garbage. I personally do not enjoy this anime, and do not see how or why it gets 170 episodes. If they... See full review
Planetes best falls into the genre of hard sci-fi; it deals with events and technologies of the future, yet does not introduce impossible/ridiculous technologies. Although 2075 may seem a bit early, the most absurd aspect of the future actually introduced by Planetes seems to be a fully functioning moon colony and the process of sustainable cold fusion. Yet the collection of debris is really just a tool to introduce greater concepts and develop... See full review
Story: 9.5/10 Honestly, it is a very simple story that follows the main character Chihaya and her obsession and love with the traditional game of Karuta and her dream of being the Queen. However, credit must be given when it's due as studio MADHOUSE and the original material do an absolutely amazing job at keeping the story enticing and engaging, so much so that an episode feels as if it is only a few minutes long. Art & Animation: 10/10 MADHOUSE does an absolutely stellar job at bringing the anime to life with absolutely stunning character designs and background visuals that... See full review
This show is a hidden gem. Having always avoided shows with lengthy and seemingly boring settings, I found some extra time on my hands during the summer break. So I decided to use it and pick up the first few episodes of Space Brothers without expecting much. I was immediately proven wrong, thinking again and again that you should truly “never judge a book by its cover”. (I try not to but it still happens. I can’t help it when there are too many choices ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) Story My first thought after reading the synopsis was why the hell are 99 episodes dedicated to these... See full review
