I have been a fan of anime going on 14 years now. Definitely would not say I am a die hard fan or an expert but I enjoy bingeing on my favorite shows or manga on occassion.

My preference isn't genre specific, I like a lot of different styles. I enjoy an anime if first and foremost the story catches my attention (I'm a writer by hobby so it's important to me). Secondly, the art has to grab my attention and work with the story and characters. Thirdly, the characters need to have depth and growth. Lastly and sometimes I'll bend this one, is I can't stand excessive stupidity from any of the primary characters.

I'm very critical and often will find myself not enjoying animes considered to be huge hits but I have seen a lot of different kinds so I'm open to giving my opinion. And while many of you well likely curse me for saying this I'm not limiting my likes to Japanese animation.

Also, I must note this in case any one actually reads these bios, I do NOT re-synopsis in reviews and try to avoid spoilers as much as possible. Re-synopsis is redundant and annoying to read in reviews which are directly underneath the official summary and varies only in wording. Spoilers are also dumb, if they are that curious watch the damn anime or go read wikipedia episode lists which are essential script notes.
