People all have their types and likes, but I just put a genuine review that reflects on my point of view and sharing my point of view. If you loved the anime, good for you. But I'm rating it based on how Good it is not how much I liked it. I'll be honest with you, I enjoyed that anime for a bit. But it just took a wrong turn on how characters behave and how they were portrayed with the storytelling. Of course, I'm not saying the author or the story itself is bad, for I haven't even read either light novel or the manga for it. But I was just rating how the anime was, not dishing on the studio or the author.

Note that there is also a big difference between writing a review that disagrees with the general consensus and backs up said contrary stance, and actively trying to discredit everyone and put them down before exclaiming "I'm right and here's why". I'm posting this here because for some reason, we can't edit our own comments (which you'll promptly delete upon reading and responding anyway)

I mean, again, I just know what I know and while that isn't remotely close to everything, it's enough to argue why I feel this show is terrible and why we shouldn't excuse bad products under the pretenses that "animators slaved away at it" and "it's promotional material for a source material". There's nothing hypocritical about arguing that when I say I don't know everything, so don't pretend like it is. It's not even something that's hidden or likely to impress anyone in terms of industry know how or an understanding of storytelling.

You called everyone making a negative review of this show a bunch of trolls. You were never in the mood for a civil discussion the matter just going off of that, and you clearly didn't bother showing respect in your review so don't start with that. Don't pretend you didn't go out of your way to start shit with people and discredit them.

The fact that you just said "read my review to understand things" instead of arguing them yourself speaks volumes on your ability to argue such things. Said review isn't worth the time of day I gave it even from cursoy glances and only slightly more in-depth reading, and nothing you said is very compelling on why the show is good. Oh wow, it utilized flashbacks purposefully and unobtrusively to shed light on a character's backstory or on the plot line that is now relevant, which is a basic storytelling method pretty much every show uses, from Code Geass to Cowboy Bebop to Darlingin the FranXX. Does that mean the content itself is compelling or well-written. Not necessarily. The MC stays faithful to the girl he likes in the real world, and he can go from kind to stoic when the situation calls for it? Cool, but what part of that makes him particularly engaging or well-written beyond "he's consistent"? The characters have easily identifiable personalities they dodon have to constantly explain to you? So do most anime. What exactly makes these characters so special or engaging, especially when they don't really bounce off each other in fun ways that show off great chemistry beyond fetishistic and/or sexual light novel trope situatuons? If you're gonna discredit literally every negative review and reviewer of this show and claim you're about to educate people on this show, animation, and storytelling in general, then you really need to put your money where your mouth is and frankly nothing you said is gonna convince any naysayers that there are any notably positive aspects they missed. Frankly, you've only cemented yourself as pretentious and actually elitist, thinking you're better and smarter than everyone who shat on this show when you've done nothing to really prove that. You don't see me or anyone else here coming down on those who like it and claiming we're above, more elite than those people like you essentially are through your misguided attempts at defending this show. This show isn't even hard to understand; it's pretty simple to be honest. The problem is I don't feel it's effective at what it's doing for reasons I highlighted in my review. Going under the mindset of "imma prove everyone wrong cuz they are primitive and not open-minded and they just don't get it" instead of "I'm gonna apply my own perspective and try to resonate with people who like, don't like, or haven't seen the show" almost guarantees that you aren't gonna get very far.
