Hearing about it at first I was told it was the story of someone coming to terms with becoming a "ghoul" and thought that I would never like it. So I came in reading it with a pessimistic view and did not like it that much but after a week or so of just reading 1 or 2 chapters at a time it started to pick up I enjoyed it quite a bit. The ending of TG is not great but not bad but, though I am not far into TG:Re, I do believe it is meant to be not some just some sequel to bank off of the success of TG but I think it is meant to be a true part of the story. The "power system" is good though at times does not make much sense as to why the kagune are like paper beats rock beats scissors beats rock. Liked basically all the characters or at least understood and did not hate them.

So if you start reading it and think it is boring take it one chapter at a time it will probably get better.
