Welcome!

I am a person of a culture. Sometimes simple, sometimes complicated. And that's how I like my anime.

You see.. my taste is nothing special, but I do recognize a good story. I'm emotionaly unstable at some points, that's why I like to watch sad shows from time to time. In my better days I like just a simple silly comedy.

But what I love above all is a story that makes you think. That inspires you, motivate you to be a better person or to work hard. That is the real deal about anime. Of course there are tons of a trash, but I'm pretty confident about my ability to find and choose a good one. I'm really grateful to all the creators out there!

Oh, and I'm not a fan of ecchi and yaoi.

A Silent Voice

An anime with a great story can be some very important experiance!

Schuichi says...  No need to apologize, I was the one who got it all wrong at first. My bad. Now I understand and it actualy looks great.   Thank you for your effort and I'm really sorry to bother you with this misunderstanding. :)   Take care. ^^

I actually like when folks share their thoughts and opinions with me, especially when they are passionate and/or enthusiastic.  So feel free to drop me a comment any time, I'd love to chat more with you!

Have a great anime day!

Schuichi says...  Good, that's what I wanted to know, thanks.. If my review is shared to somebody new and they can see it as it is, no matter how long it is or how it does seem, then I'm satisfied. Other way would be just pointless, so I was kind of scared at first. It's not that MY reviews are worth sharing, but it's about the effort made anytime anyone is writing some..   Thanks for better explanation and sorry for not to understand at first and then being mad.   Good job.. you, sothis, everyone involved. Thank you for this community.

\r\n

My apologies to YOU. I certainly didn't want to upset you and don't wish for you to be mad/angry.  The setting for 'no one can see but you' is the "No one" or Private setting, and it would be extremely rare that I EVER use that one, since I feel that anyone that takes the time and makes an effort to write a review, deserves to have their opinion seen since they are working to share it.

\r\n

As I mentioned, sothis has certain visions for her site, and I'm just applying her vision as she's stated it to me.  Reviews that meet THESE guidelines should be marked as Everyone status.  Reviews that don't meet the guidelines, get marked as Profile status.   My task is not to judge the review content (and I really don't like to do that anyway!) but to mark whether or not they meet the guidelines as listed.

\r\n

I'd really be against doing this if I had to make someone's opinion disappear and NOT be readable by anyone.

Schuichi says...  Wait a sec.. Are you trying to kindly say, that shorter reviews and opinions are not worth sharing with the major community? Why is that? Since when is quantity more important than quality? Shitload of a boring text, analysing every stupid detail of the show should be better than a shorter but fitting opinion? I just don't understand..

\r\n

I really try NOT to judge the content of the reviews.  I am not deciding quality vs quantity or debating the philosophy of brief is better vs not worth sharing.  I am helping sothis with launching her vision of the site, which includes thorough reviews that meet the guidelines she has written.  So, from the guidelines:

\r\n

"Public" review guidelines   (Everyone status)

\r\n

Length

\r\n

Reviews can be broken into sections, or can be free-form. If section-based, a good minimum baseline is a full paragraph or two per section. If free-form, around 4-5 paragraphs at minimum."

\r\n

and

\r\n

"Reviews should clearly explain why you scored each section the way you scored it. Explain what made the story so good (or bad), why you think it deserves the overall score, etc. Just saying "I loved this" isn't enough of a reason - saying why you loved it is what matters."

\r\n

sothis envisions her site as she wants it, and I am enacting her instructions when reviewing these for length and other factors to evaluate if they meet the review guidelines for a Public/Community review.  If a review doesn't quite meet the guidelines, it still gets to stay, just not visible on all the main site pages.  It still can be seen by anyone that visits your profile page or anyone that wants to see your reviews.

\r\n

My task is to change the status of reviews that don't meet her criteria/guidelines from Everyone status to Profile status.
