We actually agree with each other much more often than I would have ever expected at the beginning. Once again, I was too hasty.
Yes the scene with the younger sister was also.. ahh. I really don't want to be "that" person, -but- I hate it when kids get gelwed. Shinju is 14 according to Wikipedia and what the author did there is nothing else than pedophilia in Germany. And the older sister who looks like 11, uhh... if we were at Monopoly there would be a jail card. I mean, why? Why does everyone have to look young or be young for such fan service.
Everyone has their sins. I almost burst out laughing when Gojo was playing that porn game in the evening and the grandpa was watching him. And even worse, when they talked about the game without context after shopping and the people who listened to it, their irritation was wonderful. Yes it's low humor and actually ridiculous, but that spontaneous lack of context was glorious. Even if I hate to admit it.

I completely understand what you mean. Back when I watched the first season of Demon Slayer, I gave it 8.5/10 to start. Honestly, I don't know what possessed me to be so blind. But I had to face headwinds to lower my rating. Happened to me much more often than I would have liked.

Your kind of reviews are also very correct and understandable. When I was 17, I wrote the same way. But then I noticed that my scores have almost no distance and that I give everything I like only positive and ignore negative. But also to share only his positive feelings and experiences is very important. So often like-minded people come back to it and you have new material for conversation.

Have read my comments again, I can hardly believe how I reacted. Almost remind me of my dirty elitist time back haha. I need sanitizer for my soul.

Only watched one episode of Spy X Family and paused it for now because it smells like extremely high quality entertainment to me. I really need to wait until it's finished before I watch it. Have a very good feeling about it.

Your response was salty  and i was salty. Honestly, I exaggerated a bit and I apologize for that.
Now back on topic, it certainly wasn't just the second episode (but yes, this and the hotel episode had been the worst) apart from that also the episode with the first cosplay convention and the little character arc when he made a suit for the little sister. All of these 4 episodes were disastrous.

You see what I meant about Demon Slayer, then why are we so far apart on this anime? I think Demon Slayer is the prime example of dull but decent entertainment with good animation, which however represents the lack of quality of the author, just like My Dress Up Darling.

Though the meeting of the two protagonists in the anime is almost questionable in how it was implemented, the first episode had the most potential used. The characters got closer, revealed their hobbies, and showed off each other's interests with minimal fan service. It didn't blow me away but I was curious to see how their relationship would continue. But the fact that the protagonist was already mastrubating over Marin in episode 4 showed me that this was going to be a romance that would definitely be watched with the door closed.

He had arousing fantasies about her several times, mastrubated a few times in the series. And later even told her not to get on his dirty bed. Marin also later thought "What would have happened if we had gone further..." and that was only after they had known each other for a month. Let alone the hotel scene... uhh almost reminds me of Twilight.

Honestly (my sin) but I actually liked some scenes and moments in the series. Especially the last phone call from episode 12, which really showed more of their relationship and affection. If the series was permanently on that level, I couldn't say anything against it.

My main problem with the series is - the author has a good idea, but no idea how to implement it. He makes up for it with unnecessary fan service and ruins the potential romance. I actually like Slice of Life. Series like A Silent Voice, Your Lie in April and many others, have presented characters on versatile layers. There, you could see that the author wants his characters to be understood, as well as their inner conflicts. With this series, I couldn't feel it. From episode 1 on, that feeling was completely lost.

Anyway, I apologize again for overreacting to your response. Was a mistake on my part.

I watched so many bad shows by now including tons of trash Ecchi and Isekai with horrible writing. And Dress Up Darling was nowhere above. Its the same below Surface level of Writing. Just because the fans can reflect themself here, wont change this fact.

If you want to criticize me then go ahead, I don't mind. But if you come at me with "ohh poor boy, he couldn't see his hand in front of his face and notice the plot because of fan service" then don't waste my time. you want to talk normally then we can try round 2. I am not angry, but i dislike people hyping trash and backing it up just because they like it. I like My Hero Academia as well or Demon Slayer. But they are still both average and sometimes even below.

Someone who responds to my reviews with complete nonsense and provocation expects me to welcome them with open arms? Do you still want me to massage your feet?
If you have not noticed, then it is so.

My review actually consists in part of me criticizing the excessive fan service that has literally taken over HALF the series. Several episodes have merely referred to it. You talk about my review having been superficial, that's fine. I read yours too and all I see is blind enthusiasm.

This series has no depth whatsoever. The idea behind it was fine, but the execution was a disaster. Dialogues as empty and devoid of content as some NPC's Life Story. Romance and character relationships not even present. The characters' passion for their hobby was only conveyed in a comedic way, as if they were almost starting to drool.

The protagonist was a disaster. An empty shell that could do nothing but get sexually aroused whenever there was a chance. Even if they had removed him from the show or made him a character that only appeared once every 3 episodes, it wouldn't have changed the flow of the show.

Marin was pure fan service for Weebs to present a half-naked badass otaku. If the author wasn't so incompetent, he could have at least done something with her.

The two cliché siblings were a disaster and had almost no relevance to the series.

I wish I could say something else, but there is nothing. Other than beautiful animation and relatively mediocre pacing, there was nothing. You can sugarcoat it all you want.

I can already see that you prefer to watch anime without demands and don't look for quality. I don't judge you for that.

But don't try to justify some garbage just because you can't control your personal fan feelings.
