Haha yeah I totally agree about Nanami and Chu-chu XD Oh well to be honest I'd seen more cosplays related to the Utena movie so I actually thought that Anthy had long hair in the series as well, I really think suits her better!I liked Utena with sort hair and all the symbolism in the transformation when they grow longer
Yeah exactly someone can't watch the movie without watching the series I believe, as most of the other characters don't have screen time and no development and you can get some parts easier by knowing what happened in the series. I didn't really get the role of Akio in the movie but didn't really bothered to be honesst. I think the best one was Touga, I think he really grew on me! But I'm glad that I finally liked the protagonists, and I think one of the reason was the different art style
I watched the Utena movie, OMG WAS BRILLIANT!!Exactly what I was expecting from Utena the first time I heard about it!! Not endless duels in 39 episodes with a few metaphors but THIS, a whole movie where the single rose petal even has a meaning! I totally loved it!! It is crazy and so surreal and finally I was able to say that yes this is Ikuhara's work! It is more weird as a show but still made much more sense than the series coz the symbolism is stronger and the visuals magnificent! And at last Utena and Anthy had the best character portrayal ever!

Despite liking the process of everyone's personal growth, esp. Himemiya's, the one I honor the most is Tenjou Utena herself.
Idealistic, or could I say, the one who made people change, revolutionist. :)
