Both shows blur the line of morals and lay out good and evil as not so black and white. Call it the moral grey area if you will. Both shows are about a rebel group trying to overthrow the governtment of some sort. Without spoiling either show, they do have their differences. Code Geass has a bit more fan service and is considerably less gory than Akame ga kill. However Akame ga kill is a lot more brutal and is incredibly sad, not for the faint of hearts. Both shows are great and worth your time if you like destroying evil governments.
