So I just finished this show and it was good, something else as the many other romantic animes.
A few minor notes tho:
- Sakuta fell in love immediatly. I appreciate characters coming out with their feelings instead of having 24 episodes of tsundere play but this was very sudden only after seeing her in a bunny outfit.
- A little too much of those adolesence issues, they could have removed 1-2 and stretched everything out. For example I would have liked to see more about Mai's issues or Sukata/Kaede. Now it felt a bit episodic because it happened 5-6 times and none of it gave real lasting problems. As... See full review
This show had an amazing start which blew my mind, an unique premise of zombie idol girls at a heavy metal concert.
The second episode managed to keep up the pace, somewhat, with the rap song and made you think the show was going to do a different music genre every episode. But the show threw away it's unique premise and became another generic idol show, complete with your stereotypical characters, the cute little girl, the klutz, the tomboy, the mature one and ...the 2 bland ones? The consistency has been horrible with some episodes being okay and others being horrible to watch. And those horrible... See full review
The best version is the KikuoHana (きくおはな - 光よ) version with vocals from Hanata. Not much more to say as that is a very powerfull song, Hanatan has a great voice and great range. Visual effects of the song are very nice as well to this sad song. The English cover nor the Vocaloid version live up to the KikuoHana co-op which is far superior.See full review
To sum up this anime:
The snorefest that started with a death march. I feel like Death March actually wanted to be a cooking show instead of an Isekai. Ive seen him talk more about how the food tastes as he had adventures. And he was more passionate about that too as the way he was in the battles. The main char got no personality and rest is like the 9.000 other shows out there about an OP transported into another world person. If the main char did have a personality it would carry the show to something better, he is just a nice guy, nicer as Jesus, that is his personality, nice emotional... See full review
In my opinion is this season much better as the first season. The first season is just your average romcom with the exception the main guy is very cynical. It lacked in romance and the humour was lacking, it gave me a few smiles but no laughs. In the second season the comedy has almost disappeared and has been replaced by drama. But this gave the story a lot more dept. For a second I was afraid this would end as a harem with new girls going for Hikky but it turned out much better as expected. It was the story and the characters which were special in this season. As previously said this show... See full review
I've watched this anime because of the DTAB (Damn, That Anime is Bad) event #59. But this anime was surprisingly good, while the synopsis and rating let us think otherwise. First of all, don't watch this expecting a serious magical girl show. Expect exaggerated sex jokes as a parody on Sailor Moon. And don't worry, the sex jokes are really really ridiculous and go pretty far but it won't become a hentai, however do expect plenty of nekked boobies, nekked, bouncing boobies. Story The synopsis says enough already about the story, lingerie babe Tsubomi has to save the world of a bunch of evil women who try... See full review
Kin-Iro Mosaic is a slice-of-life / school life show so don't expect a story. This show revolves around Shino and Alice and their daily lives. But this is not a bad thing; shows without any story can be just as entertaining as show with a story. However this show does not stand out above any other regular slice-of-live / school life comedy shows. The only exceptional feature is the cuteness, so expect a lot of those. But for me personally that isn't enough. The biggest issue I have with this show are the main leads, Shino and Alice. They are the least interesting and very bland characters. The side... Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai NEXT The second season. Not as much ecchi, more harem, little bit more of a storyline. But still a pretty average 1 out of a million show. And that sums up season 2. The animation is still as good as season 1 and the music just as unnoticeable as. There however have been big changes and development in some characters. Kodaka, still the main harem lead. But his role has took a turn for the worse, unfortunately he ends up as your regular deny what you hear character who covers up confessions with ''what? Sorry didn’t hear you'' or by simply running away. At least he... See full review
Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukuna
I can be very short about this show. The synopsis promises more as it delivers. It is an average one out of a million ecchi school club show.
Non existing, gradually more students join the neighbors club and together they do the regular stuff, day at the beach, day at the festival, day at the swimming pool, day of gaming etc. Animation / sound
Nothing wrong with the animation. The opening theme is nice and the closing theme is okay but anything beside that is unnoticeable, except for some song with cat sounds which I haven’t been able to locate on... See full review
Shitcom...yeah uhm...first let me explain why I watched this 'show'.
While browsing through the crude taglist I thought it would be funny to check out the lowest rated show from the bunch. Maybe it would be so bad that it would be funny, so voila there was Shitcom. After seeing its length of only 1 minute I thought 'why the hell not'. Unfortunately I did not give any second thought about the title being SHITcom, nor that it might have been legit that it was the worst rated crude show out there.
That was a mistake I have paid dearly for. Since the show is only 1 minute long it is kinda hard to... See full review
My Mental Choices are Completely Interfering with my School Romantic Comedy or also Noucome for short.
Noucome, a little bit ecchi, a little bit harem. An ordinary show but it has a twist.
Kanade, the main character, wants to live a normal highschool life but he has a mental condition which forces him to choose between a bad choice or an even worse choice. If he doesnt choose one of the two he will get massive headaches. This mental condition has given him a spot in the 'Reject 5' at school. One day he is given the choice to have a beatifull girl fall out of the sky or have his not so attractive... See full review
On her 16th birthday Kobeni is told that she has a fiancé. As a kid she has been engaged by her grandfather with Hakuya. Now Kobeni is forced to live together with her fiancé and his little sister.
There are only 5 chapters released on the mange so there is not a lot of progress in the anime. We see Kobeni and Hakuya growing closer together and Kobeni tries to recall her memories of when she was a kid and met Hakuya.
In my opinion it is a rather ordinary romcom show like there are already many out there.
The main character, Kobeni, is rather plain as well and Hakuya is rather amusing... See full review
This anime in 1 word....awkward. It is the most awkward anime Ive seen, but I love it.
Tomoko Kuroki is a very lonely very perverted girl who likes manga, anime, dating-sims and an occasional BL game. Tomoko is in search for a (boy)friend to cure her loneliness. We see her struggle through everyday life while getting ignored, being misunderstood and her making a mess of everyday tasks/events. Story
Its a schoollife / slice of life anime so expect to see everyday events but through the eyes of a very lonely girl. There is no developmend which is captured/recapped nicely in the last... See full review
Another players stuck inside a game anime. Similar to Sword Art Online but at the same time also very different. SAO is very popular and this show gets compared to SAO alot, so I will reference alot to that show aswell.
Thirty thousands Japanese players are suddenly trapper inside a MMORPG with several hundreds of thousands trapped worldwide. But where Sword Art Online focus on the action part of completing the game and trying to survive Log Horizon focusses more on the comedy and daily life of the players. Log Horizon explores the MMORPG aspects much more as SAO does and unlike SAO... See full review
First a little heads up/warning. I really disliked this anime, so it may turn out in a little rant.
I just had finished Blood+ which was a good anime so I thought to try this one out. Unfortunately it had nothing to do with Blood+ with the exception of the main characters name. The monsters turned from (monster) vampires into statues and birds. The main character was too clumsy and the story...well there wasn’t much story. If they disconnected the show from Blood+ it might have gotten some extra points as a comedy/gore anime.
Saya lives a happy school life which she needs to combine... See full review
I basicly made a review of the show while discussing it with another member, so Ill share my view with the rest of the community aswell.
In the future the Sibyl system rules everyday life. It will pick you career based on what will make you the happiest but it can also predict which people are likely to commit crimes. The psycho-pass everyone has will change colour depending on their level of stress and evil thoughts/actions. Once it reaches a certain level they will be forced to undergo therapy to improve their Psycho-pass towards a normal level. Those who are passed the point of no... See full review
The movies I had watched previously were often connected to a excisting TV show, they were never as good as the series itself. The movies were usually additions to the series or some filler material. And the few stand alone movies Ive seen werent that good either, in my opinion, mostly because it is hard to fit a story as good as a TV show into a movie of merely 2 hours. So I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. It still doesnt have a top notch story, it is rather cliché and lacks dept, but the movie grabs your attention from the very first minute and doesnt let you go till the movie has... See full review
Ill (try to) keep this short...
To describe Kill la Kill into 3 words: ''over the top''
5 seconds into the show it goes full throttle an it rarely takes it food of the gas. Over the top action, over the top comedy, over the top (stereotype) characters. Unfortunately also over the top (semi) nudity. But still over the top entertainment.
Girl (Ryuuko) has recently lost her father and is searching for the killer for revenge and answers. During her search she stumbles upon a town where the school student council president (Satsuki) is the absolute ruler. The performances of the students... See full review
Sword Art Online...very hard to rate due to the two very different arcs with a very inconsistent season.
I love the concept of players trapped inside an VMMORPG, die in the game and you die in RL, remove the headset and die. You can only escape by completing the game.
Gamers in MMORPGs can specialize in certain areas like blacksmithing or gathering and this happens also in the anime. This is a nice feature as it lets you keep the feeling it is all a game, but in the anime it has a touch of despair because of the fear of dying. The same applies on the occasionally showing user controls and HP... See full review
