Welcome to my humble sanctuary here on Anime planet!

I love to enjoy a good anime, sadly though I seem to be very picky about what I consider to be a worthwhile anime. I often end up picking up and dropping anime after a few episodes (sometimes even half way through a series). The key things I love to see in anime vary with my mood, but there’s one thing that will almost always make me watch an anime all the way through … Real romance. I’m not talking love interests, I mean real relationships that develop over the series of a show in ways we the watcher can see and understand. Examples of this you might ask, easy. Nana has tons of examples of this throughout the show, Sword Art Online in the first arc, and Mirai Nikki Tv are all great examples where the relationships vary from the premise of the show to a side part yet they all develop as the characters and story develop. If you’ve watched these you know what I am talking about, there are real relationships that really develop throughout the episodes and aren’t just static love interests that are just there to be there. I hate anime where there are love interests and nothing moves anywhere, it infuriates me and makes me drop anime faster than almost anything. This means harems are on my will never watch list 99% of the time.

With that being said there’s other things I enjoy in anime and can keep me interested in a show. These vary with my mood but typically include one or more psychopaths, truly unique story ideas, well executed mysterious and suspense, great action, realism in a fantasy setting (think Mirai Nikki or Sword Art Online), and to top it all off any anime that can pull on my heart strings and get me to be emotionally invested in the story or characters.

So think you’ve got an anime that I’d be interested in, please do let me know. I’m always looking for something good to watch, just don’t be offended if you see I have animes you liked on my dropped or stalled list. With something like anime opinion plays a major part, and I simply don’t like to watch things just to watch them. They have to keep me interested, which is why long series that will often have fillers (e.g. Naruto, Bleach, Hunter x Hunter, etc) I will almost never finish. I have to be engaged every episode or I’ll drop a couple into it from boredom. Anyways, I look forward to finding many more great animes!

P.S. I LOVE good AMVs. I watch them all the time for animes I've seen, and ones I haven't. If it's good I'll appreciate the work put into it regardless of song, genre, or anime.

That's a shame! Well, I'm also forgetable sometimes about animes..

Yeah, Shiki is scary sometimes, still really good though. I loved it!

Yep, definitely worth the watch when you have some time to dedicate, because there is a lot of time/space continuum stuff thrown in there and some of that theoretical stuff is hard to swallow at first. Plus Okabe's mad scientist routine is just weird/odd at first. It only becomes endearing once you are used to it and understand him and his sarcastic remarks better. Mayuri's odd devotion to him, not explained at first, but later a keystone point for the series.

Steins;Gate has a lot to offer but it does take some effort to win the endgame reward!
