I thought the Narutaru anime was quite good. How it takes the concept of kids with monsters :cough, Pokemon, cough: and puts a more realistic spin on things. Like, if a select group of people, let alone, adolescents, got some intense power, would they really jusy play around?

And then later on there's a bullying/abuse story line and that's very good at drawing emotions from the viewer.

And since the anime doesnt complete the entire story, i went on to read the manga. The anime covered Volume 1 to 7, so i read vol 8 to 10, but DAMN the story got WEIRD. Like, not psychological mind-fuck werid, but just "i dont understand what's happening even after i finished reading the whole thing"-type of weird. So i was rather annoyed with the ending, although thinking some things through again, SOME parts start to make sense, but i felt the mangaka tried too hard to make it mysterious, and that there was just too much the reader had to interpret himself at the end.

But all in all, it's a good read, regardless of how confusing the ending was. Which is why i felt the anime tied it up better, coz the place they ended the anime was a "neater" spot in the story line.

I heard "Bokurano" and "Serial Experiments Lain" are also pretty good psychological anime, you havent seen them right - they dont seem to be on your watched list, though a manga of Lain is.

Hey there! Thanks for very much for the info about the anime/manga REC. Very interesting to hear that, for once, the anime adaptation is superior in adaptation to the original material. It's sad but so often true that the anime destroy the original's story, and since i ended up not reading the manga, it's great to know the anime was better done.

I see that you read quite a fair amount of manga! I recently started to read more manga myself, the other day i just finished "Shadow Star Narutaru". It was a very fucked up story full of bullying and abuse. Gets very psychological as well - though, i see that you didnt like Neon Genesis Evangelion very much,  so maybe you're not really into that type of story huh?

You're welcome for the comment :P And by excitement, I mean like the intensity of the fights, like the way they make it so you wonder not necessarily what will happen(because we all pretty much know that), but how it'll happen, and the comedy that the characters bring about, I kind of mean the whole things that bring us to watch anime, it's somewhere in pretty much every one of them(except the reaaaaally horrible ones XD).

I dunno if that helped you understand, I'm trying to explain what's in my head but it doesn't work very well :S Hope you understood that lol!
