■■■ Story & Characters ■■■

I don't think I really can call this a "story", though there is a very basic plot of beating opponent after opponent to be the very best in the end. This is an anime about moe girls, fighting battles in tanks as a sport. Yeah... It's that absurd. I personally don't really like the exuses they used to make sense of that all; it just feels like they wanted to slap anime girls and tanks together. All that aside though, some of the actual battles are kinda entertaining, and the slice-of-life elements were a nice distraction as well. This anime makes no sense, but I guess it's still not really bad. Hope you like tanks.

■■■ Art & Animation ■■■

Pretty good. This studio obviously has a thing for 3DCG, as all the tanks and a lot of the environments are 3D models. They made it blend pretty well with the traditionally animated 2d characters. The 2d animation is good. The characters are expressive and cute, and have a pretty distinct art-style. 

■■■ Music, Voice and SFX ■■■

I did not really like the soundtrack of this anime. I liked the OP, but most of the BGM tracks consist of your typical military marching music, often slapping cheery marching tracks behind action scenes that should have been full of suspense. They tried too hard to lighten the mood. The voice acting is very good, and the SFX consists mostly of shooting tanks.

■■■ X factor/ Atmosphere ■■■

This may be a kinda weird review section to you, but I usually rate a serie by overall feel/experience: for me this means a series doesn't necessarily need to have the most high-end animation, complex story or most unique characters to still make an anime very enjoyable or memorable.

The atmosphere is fine here. The pacing is good, the overall feel is a nice mix between laid-back and kinda tense. For some reason I really liked the setting of their schools being located on a giant floating city, which basically also is a warship. It's not an anime you should think too much about, but in the end a lot of the battles were pretty amusing to see. I kinda wish this anime didn't end yet, in a weird way. It was a bit more memorable than I expected.
