Juni Taisen: Zodiac War

Apr 25, 2020

An absolute prime example of wasted potential, what a terrible waste. The title of June Taisen had almost everything he needed to be successful, but why wasn't it made anymore?
The drawing style was individual and fresh. The animations were impressively good. The characters had an attractive design and some solid background stories. The fights were well staged. And despite everything, you just didn't make anything of it.
There were lots of plot holes and a lot of missing explanations. Instead of tackling these shortcomings and making up for them, on the other hand, they dragged out some trivial... See full review

The World God Only Knows II

Apr 25, 2020

As expected, the continuation followed the same principle. The story continued to consist of various short romances, ie "conquests". The characters also followed the same scheme. There was the usual martial artist, teacher and, exceptionally, someone who didn't fit the 0815 scheme. If someone did not like the first season, they should have little hope of something new here. The relationships had a little more detail than the predecessor, but everything else remained the same.
The main story in the background unfolded a little bit during this season.
On the genre side, everything remained... See full review

The World God Only Knows

Apr 25, 2020

How best to describe such a title. Completely questionable, bizarre and yet somehow entertaining. It was probably an attempt to create a somewhat individual and novel harem. And this attempt was successful. This work is just like every harem title before and after it. Only with the difference that the implementation and the concept were adorned with crazy ideas. The protagonist Katsuragi must conquer the hearts of the girls in order to drive demons out of them. The scheme of this anime is also very simple. One short story after another follows. They take between 3 to 5 episodes per girl. Most of the girls... See full review

InuYasha The Movie 3: Swords of an Honorable Ruler

Apr 25, 2020

Foreword: This was based on the main story and details that were not addressed in the anime. This movie also deals partly with the past and also with Inuyasha's parents, which was largely neglected in the actual series. Subtext: In terms of implementation, this is undoubtedly the best of the 4 Inuyasha films. From the plot, as mentioned, he takes up topics that the anime per se accounted for. Has an action based on the anime and was also passably implemented with a proper introduction. Genre:

InuYasha The Movie 1: Affections Touching Across Time

Apr 25, 2020

This movie is in no way related to the main story of Inuyasha and can therefore be viewed no matter from which series. From the status of the series, it would correspond to episode 50+, based on the attacks Inuyasha had already learned. Subtext: After I was quite satisfied after the first season of the series, I approached the movies with certain expectations. But the difference in quality made itself felt in the course of the film.
Genre:
[Adventure Comedy Drama Fantasy Historical Romance Shounen Superpower] Adventure: This genre found no presence here because this movie was mainly a "one... See full review

InuYasha The Movie 2: The Castle Beyond the Looking Glass

Apr 25, 2020

Foreword: Like its predecessor, this movie has no connection to the main story. But here are some scenes that are roughly based on the main story, but were never mentioned in the actual series. Movie played after episode 120+ Subtext: Compared to its predecessor, this movie has been somewhat neat, both in terms of its concept and its implementation. Even if the suspense was not particularly terrific and the process was very chewy, it stayed alive thanks to its animations. Story:

InuYasha The Movie 4: Fire on the Mystic Island

Apr 25, 2020

Foreword: In contrast to Movie 2 & 3, this has no connection to the main story and deals with a very personal story. Subtext: Here too, the same mistakes were usually made as for the other movies, it was much too much on the fights instead of worrying about an action. One topic was set and the rest were regulated by the various fights. Even if the plot had potential here, very little was brought out of the movie. Story:
The plot dealt only with the island and the "4 gods" on it, which according to the context simply had to be defeated. And that was the overall picture, which made it... See full review

Inuyashiki: Last Hero

Apr 25, 2020

Inuyashiki The words "bizarre" and "individual" are those that could best describe and reflect this work. This series deals with a rather interesting concept of two characters acting as practical opposites. I liked their conflict and how it worked. Ichiro feels alive by helping people whereas Hiro has to hurt people. One has to say to a certain extent which of the two was actually right from the point of view of human morality. However, Hiro was also quite an interesting character in his role.
Well enough of the positive words. Despite the interesting subject matter and the fact... See full review

Hyouka

Apr 24, 2020

I once looked at this work 2-3 years ago and had to cancel it at the time. The reason for this was simply the lack of individuality and excitement.
Now I gave the anime another chance and saw something quite interesting in the overall result. This work did not follow a "red thread" and had no really grandiose plot. The plot basically dealt with .. "With the riddle solution". In the foreground were only the puzzles, one after the other appeared. Basically, this was not a bad thing, the implementation and the presentation of the puzzles was quite interesting, they were also very... See full review

When They Cry: Kai

Apr 24, 2020

You really have to admit that it was rather a disadvantage to have split the story into two seasons. Since there was so little clarification in the first season and the second season takes everything from the first again, some of the audience was chased away. As good as the series itself is, you first have to get through to Ep 30 until the plot makes sense. Subtext: The sequel to Higurashi no Naku Koro ni mainly deals with the stories and events from the first season, which started at the end of the first. Otherwise, own events are added here, as well as the clarification of the whole story, how and why... See full review

When They Cry: Higurashi

Apr 24, 2020

Here I put it on a note. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni is a very detailed and well-developed title. I have heard from some who dropped this work because it was too confusing for them. You have to watch the first season, because in the second all questions are answered. And to say it.. this show is not a Yandere Simulator full of Murder. If you finish the first season, you will understand, that everything you were expecting about this show, is total wrong. And you cannot judge this work from the outside, it is definitely much more brutal and knitted than you might think at the beginning.

The Devil is a Part-Timer!

Apr 24, 2020

Hataraku Maou-sama got off to a very promising start, I certainly cannot deny that. It started with a very interesting introduction and quickly got to the point and topic of the action. The animations and the detail in it were also presented very well. As can be seen from the description, the protagonist "Demon King" lands in Japan and is forced to look for a simple job and somehow keep himself afloat due to his lost powers. Here you got to see a lot of Slice_of_Life and Comedy elements, one worked out more and the other less well. There was also a spark in the plot, but this was very small. The... See full review

Hajime no Ippo: Rising

Apr 23, 2020

Just like with "New Challenger" there was very little space for the development of this work and again it dealt mainly with successive battles. And here, too, not only the protagonist Ippo was in the foreground, Aoki and Takamura also received a lot of attention. Basically, this season, like its 2 predecessors, was a masterpiece in terms of sports, but here too there was a lack of feeling from the first season. I have to say, this is the weakest Season of HnI Genre:
[Comedy drama Shounen Sport] Comedy was undoubtedly in full bloom as in the predecessors and one could again enjoy the... See full review

Hajime no Ippo: New Challenger

Apr 23, 2020

Subtext: Even with this season, this work did not decrease, the concept changed a bit and this time the focus was on the other characters and not just the Ippo. Of course, this season was much shorter than the first one and most of it was all about the fight and the training. In the first season there was a lot more space for other elements. Nonetheless, this season was tough and some things happened that I never expected.

Hajime no Ippo: Mashiba vs Kimura

Apr 23, 2020

Just like the first Ova, this one is only about a fight including a little story that takes place before the fight. Nevertheless, it was a very pleasant 60 minutes that we were presented with this Ova and I can admit without exaggeration that this was better than the other.
The plot, as can be seen from the name, related to the fight between the grim reaper Mashiba and the somewhat more serious clown Kimura. Including a small foreplay which was about training Kimura.
There were no flaws in the animations. They were fluid, handsome, had color and shine. Especially it was again beautiful... See full review

Hajime no Ippo: Champion Road

Apr 23, 2020

Subtext: In my view, this ova was more or less a movie and actually seems to have a tendency to act. Especially since this is Makunouchi Ippo's first title defense. Genre:
[Action Comedy Sport] All 3 genres were represented and were beautifully presented as in the series, especially the comedy elements had not lost their style. But the boxing action was still very respectable. Subtext: However, I was irritated by why neither romance, martial art or shounen was present, especially since there was obviously more romance present than almost the whole anime before. Story:
The story consisted solely... See full review

Ace Attorney

Apr 23, 2020

When looking at Gyakuten Saiban, to be honest, I was never really sure what to think of him. On the one hand, the plot around the court and this whole search for evidence and speculation was quite interesting. On the other hand, the anime, on the other hand, really had properties that I kept thinking to myself "Why are you doing this?" There were about 5 different cases that were worked out quite well and could be maintained over a period of 2-3-4 and even up to 5 episodes. Expressions were well represented and people went well into the incident to reconstruct the actions of the perpetrators. The... See full review

Bleach

Apr 22, 2020

Bleach, an anime with which many grew up here, including me.
This is about an enormously long shounen, which had proven very successful. This anime is clearly not famous for its plot. The real story of Bleach is more or less dull, full of mistakes and shortcomings. She also pulls for an ancient chewing gum. Everything repeats itself over and over again and takes forever many episodes until something comes to the point. Until the end, there was hardly anything worth mentioning. The action corresponds to the shounen average.
Note: I recommend skipping the Filler Arcs in the anime. They are extremely... See full review

Free! Iwatobi Swim Club

Apr 22, 2020

One thing can be left to this work. The animations and the visual representation of swimming is breathtaking. Also the implementation of the actual topic around the sport. However, these were his only strengths. This title proved to be a work that could not survive without the animations, i.e. work from the actual studio.
The story in the work is not there, why not? It is still only about swimming that is enough. The actual storyline revolves around everyday life, the goals and huge adolescent character problems that could come from the next best Yaoi Manga. And the worst thing about the anime is the... Gosick

Apr 21, 2020

Gosick It's a title that I saw a few years ago and definitely had to give it a new round. As the saying goes, when you look at it a second time, you always see it in a different light. Unfortunately, it is also true here. Gosick proves to be predominantly a sympathetic title that ensures individuality and atmosphere with a pleasant style of presentation and setting. The background story that reveals itself in the course of the plot is also worth mentioning. The mysterious aspect of the series has been satisfactory, but nothing particularly impressive. Individual cases handled by the main characters were... See full review

Dororo (2019)

Apr 20, 2020

Whether this is the actual original plot, is set aside. This anime adaptation is something that the anime scene misses a lot. A work with a dark theme and an excitingly implemented, as well as serious plot.
The action is actually quite simple. The protagonist, whose body parts were robbed as a baby, meets a young person named "Dororo" and together they embark on a journey.
Spoiler!
This is mainly about getting his body parts back from the demon gods and facing his past.

Death Billiards

Apr 20, 2020

Death Billiards is the short film that appeared 2 years before the actual series. This duration is as much as an episode and is basically one. Would append this approximately from episode 3.
However, it is also possible to look at it directly in front of the plant, as it could already arouse enormous curiosity and acts as a good start.
I leave the rating on 7. It corresponds to the same level of the series, but of course the focus is only on one case.

Cautious Hero: The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious

Apr 20, 2020

Another Isekai title with an overpowered protagonist. Which looks more like a title based on the comedy genre.
Would you say now. However, this title is very different from what I imagined.
In the first place, the implementation is good, as is the course of the action.
In the course of the series, there are hidden hints of the phrase at the end. The actual finale had an unexpected twist. There was also a surprisingly good explanation for the plot and also for the personality of the protagonist. -

Knowing the non-animated game would be of the "ADVANTAGE" is not necessary to be able to follow the plot, because the anime explains well and the ova also contributes to it. This part is also the end of the series. Preface: This season is the background story in which the events of the past are shown and explained, the following season is "Mirai-hen". Before this season you should have seen season 1.

Apr 20, 2020

This ova serves to end the entire series and directly follows the end of the "Mirai-hen" season, thus forming the "13th" episode.
-
Since this is only an ova with a length of 20 minutes, I will not go into any criteria.
The final episode lost tension because it focused on bringing everything to a emding. But it was in fact a decent conclusion, in which events from all seasons ultimately met and set a final.

Danganronpa: The Animation

Apr 20, 2020

Foreword:
This anime is an adaptation of a visual novel of the same name. Didn't play it and cannot judge by the standards to what extent it is worse than the original or distances itself from it. Subtext: "An anime with a difference" would do it well. The first part of the Danganronpa series is about a very pleasant crime game. Many different and individual personalities including design wake up in one place without any memory. Now they have no choice but to commit murders without being caught to leave this place. No. 6

Apr 20, 2020

Note that at No.6 the Shounen-Ai is not really in the foreground. Here the plot is treated more, the romance is somewhat secondary. Nevertheless, enough time is devoted to her for fans of this genre. Subtext:
As can be seen in the description, the sequence of the first 2-3 episodes is already described in it and also as far as the turn at the beginning is concerned. This anime got off to a very interesting start for me, with decent approaches. The mystery was well in focus here and it already raised many questions. Buso Renkin

Apr 19, 2020

An older Shounen title, which shows most of the usual shortcomings, but has also put something individual at the table. This work comes straight to the point in the first episode and explains to the audience what this story is about and what system this world follows there. It is in fact nothing too earth-shattering, but a more pleasant introduction than in some other Shounen works. I quote the description "Together they have to stop the humunculi now" - unfortunately this "stop the hum" takes up almost the first 12 episodes of the work, in which there are almost continuous battles... In this each employee has his own role, which he has to indulge in. The roles are distributed from "Little Sister, Tsundere, to Sadistin and Big Sister".
