Rokudenashi Majutsu Koushi to Akashic Records

Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor

ク で な し 魔術 講師 と 禁忌 教 典

Preface:

A somewhat surprising title at the beginning, but more disappointing towards the end. Whether on the part of the plot or the characters, something useful has been mixed together here and there are hardly any points worth mentioning. The sexualized depiction of school clothes was a particular thorn in my side. What kind of sexual preferences do you have to have to put underage students into something like this?

Secondary text:

I don't know exactly what to think of this anime.
Compared to typical ecchi works, it did indeed have its strengths and certainly made a better impression on me.

[This work, in one episode, looked pretty much like Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, if you can put it that way.
Spoiler!. Is this a FMAB reference? ]

The story revolves around an absolutely typical magic school, with roughly absolutely typical characters. The protagonist is quite an asshole and has an interesting style, at least in the beginning.

However, the plot has something of its own, I don't know the story in the manga, but there is certainly potential. Some scenes also had a noteworthy implementation, as well as interesting details. Both dialogues and actions of some characters were well-written.

The first 2 episodes also had more fan service than the whole anime itself. Which is also quite questionable.

Story

How should I put the plot into words ...

Well, it starts with the protagonist taking up his post as a teacher. Of course, he makes for an excellent first impression with the classmates.

The action accordingly revolves around everyday life and heaps of situations that have happened purely by chance since the protagonist has been at school. Even if there is a lot of applause, the implementation of the events is not that bad. A real plot was not done in the period of the first season, but there was potential that could be used well in a sequel.

Animation / pictures

The animations were quite nice. Quite a lot of glitter, as usual. However, they were fluid, visually appealing and the surroundings looked good. I can not complain.

Characters:

The characters were really a salad here.

The protagonist, who already had a good name, was the asshole of the story. His actions were far from interesting, but he did provide entertainment. I also found him to be very personable, even if he was far too transparent. Makes an uninterested asshole, but is always the hero in need.

The protagonist has been a disaster. Not at all deep, looked like a secondary character, served like all other women only for fan service and hardly managed to create dialogues. Especially since it bordered massively on a Tsundere.

The second protagonist, who looked like a typical "good girl", was one too. However, she managed to create useful dialogues, wasn't annoying, and had good actions for a change. This actually surprised me quite a bit, as it does not correspond to the usual "Good Girl" caliber.

The third protagonist was a "Kudere", at least it looked so visually. It wasn't interesting, but there is a plot part to learn more about it.

The rest of the supporting characters were literally "supporting characters" - they were left pretty cold and hardly had any roles.

If it hadn't been for the protagonist and the good girl, I would have labeled the characters here as catastrophic. Whereby the "Kudere" has at least a deeper meaning.

Music

The intro was musically nothing special and corresponded to the usual caliber. In terms of the picture, it was also not worth mentioning. Average.

The outro was even weaker in that regard.

The soundtracks had a little more to offer than the ou and intro, but were also rather mild. However, it is surprising that something was there at all.

Conclusion

You can look at it, and I didn't go for it either. However, he had far too many weaknesses and hardly any strengths.

4/10 story
6/10 animation
5/10 sound
4/10 characters
4/10 overall
