I only really wanted to watch the Anime because I had already read the Manga of the Bibliophile Princess.
i can confidently say that despite the light-hearted and rather innocent story, the anime is a nice Shoujo that would suit a young audience's taste, as an introductory romance anime. I'd happily let a 8-year-old watch this and would be confident they would not suffer from any big negative influences.
Although I did question the animation decision at times, it was obvious that the whole design and animation followed a common goal and theme. The theme of innocence and first love. IT helped that the design choices also represented the FL, who is quite young and innocent in the anime.
the story is quite predictable and easy to digest and is nothing for somebody who os looking for anything intriguing or action focuses. most conflicts get solved within the next ep. and the character relatations are pretty superficial and light, but befitting such an anime
