Amazing Female Characters in Anime

A list for female characters that are actually well written and unique, that are given the respect they deserve by their writers and have a distinct lack of cliched character tropes. No oversexualization/fanservice, not designed just for a romance, not designed for pandering of any kind. I just love cool female characters that subvert these tropes, and I think we can all agree, they deserve recognition. Suggestions welcome.

From what I have seen, I can agree with everyone except with Akko. I can't see what is so unique about her, since she is your classic triggerish, hyperactive girl. She for me is a mix of Kill la Kill's girls Mako and Ryuko. Resembles very strongly Papika from Flip Flappers. She is pretty tropey in my eyes.

I have some few favorite girls and obviously I have to recommend mine and if not her, then Holo from Spice and Wolf. If I have to suggest someone more, then Rin Kaga from Usagi Drop. This child makes you wanting children even when you 10 or 90 years old..as perverted as that sounds..damn it.
