Hello, everyone.
I am the mom to a wonderful daughter who is on the Autism Spectrum.
She recommended this site to me since a couple of her special interests are anime & manga, and she's been wanting me for several years now to get into this sort of stuff with her more.
The first manga that I read/am reading is Yona of the Dawn. I'm not used to reading from right-to-left, but I'm getting there lol. Oh, and I watched the anime too, and it's really good.
Some anime's that I like are Naruto, Naruto Shippuden, Fairy Tail, Yugioh, My Roomate is a Cat, Pokemon, & Polar Bear's Cafe.
My daughter got me hooked on Studio Ghibli movies years ago and my current favorites are Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, Kiki's Delivery Service, Ponyo, and Okko's Inn. (We plan on watching more together sometime in the future.)
I would say that I'm still very new to the anime/manga world though, so forgive me if I'm not aware of certain things.
My favorite genre's are fantasy, romance, comedy, and romantic comedy.
I'm not really what young people call a "gamer" per-se, (I did play more than I do now, years ago, but certain circumstances happened, and well, I just don't really have time anymore for them) but I do love watching my daughter who IS a gamer, play them, especially when it comes to Skyrim. I LOVE Skyrim lol.
I don't get on here much, (thus I'm still a major newbie and need tons of help lol) but when I do, it's mainly to update on what I've watched/read, so if I don't respond to your comments, please don't be upset.

I’m sure she is grateful that you’re there for her when she gets down on herself. Life is indeed one big learning experience but it’s easy to forget that. So I’m sure she is grateful that you keep reminding her, even if she doesn’t realize it herself. ^^
No, that’s fine! You don’t have to keep apologizing. :) It’s summer vacation for me now, so I’m kinda here all the time because I don’t have anything better to do. When uni starts again, I’m probably not going to be active on here anymore (or at least not much). So I completely understand!

I just looked at your bio I have a similar experience I'm watching Anime with my mom too ^^ I'm her only daughter so we spend most of the time together oh I just notice that you had the same age as my mom too I'm happy to see you enjoy watching anime and spend your time together
I will recommend my mom's best anime of all time she loves it it's called "Barakamon" and it's a slice of life genre the best one out there I highly recommend it ^^
