I started watching anime in 1998 with Kiki's Delivery Service, but didn't watch other Miyazaki movies until way later, except for My Neighbor Totoro, which was rented from Video Joe several times.

I started watching series anime in about 1999, when I was nine years old. I would say my first anime was Pokemon, but that might not be true. A little bit before, after, or maybe even during, I'd watch a little Tenchi Muyo and Sailor Moon, but I stayed up to record Mobile Suit Gundam 08th MS Team and Outlaw Star one night on Toonami, and cried when I lost that tape. For years, I couldn't remember what Mobile Suit Gundam was called, just that it was one of the many many many many many many Gundams out there. I also watched Cardcaptors on the WB, and Digimon and Mon Colle Knights on Fox. (I saw Shinzo once or twice, too.) (But now that I think about it, Kiki beats out all the rest.)

Pokemon was the first one I stuck with consistently, (besides Kiki, as I love that movie, but I didn't get obsessed with it like I did Pokemon) as I had no means of watching Outlaw Star or Cardcaptors once it stopped airing. I still love Pokemon, especially old Pokemon. One day in the summer of 2002, I was watching Pokemon on the WB and afterwards stayed to see what was next. 

It was Yugioh, and that started my love affair with Yugioh. I was going through a tough time at school, and used that as my escape. That was when I wrote my first "real" fanfiction. During that year, my friends told me what anime was, citing Inuyasha and Yu Yu Hakusho as the first two examples. So I started watching those, Rurouni Kenshin, Hamtaro, and .hack//SIGN. (Which is one of my absolute favorites for personal reasons.) 

In high school, I mostly watched Yu Yu Hakusho, Full Metal Alchemist, and Yugioh GX. They became ingrained into the fabric of my life, as had Pokemon and Yugioh.

In college, I watched a lot of different things, but most especially Death Note, Code Geass, and Soul Eater.

I also write fanfictions under the name melodyfireprincess on fanfiction.net. I'm notoriously bad at updating on time.

I also cosplay.
