I got into anime fairly late, not really starting until my 3rd year at university. This puts me in something of an odd place in that my tastes are, from what I can gather, a bit away from the norm. I tend to find myself watching a lot of niche titles and reading more obscure manga, while having no real connection to most of the major franchises. Essentially, I can talk plenty about Vinland Saga,  A Silent Voice, and Ergo Proxy, but can't name more than 3 of the Straw Hat Pirates. I don't treat this general ignorance of the Big 3 or other mega-hits as either positive or a negative, it's simply my anime taste. Hopefully my recommendations and reviews will help you find something out of the ordinary!
