My Hero Academia 3

Nov 9, 2018

First of all, I'd really like to say that I enjoyed this season, and there was something of value in each episode that I was entertained by.  There was a lot of positive character development in season 3 both between Izuku, Bakugo, and Ochako.  Those three characters, in my opinion, developed the most.  I loved the building upon the foundations that Izuku has been doing, his development is slow but he is improving.  I also enjoyed seeing a different side to Bakugo as the season progressed.  For most of the prior seasons he seemed pretty one dimensional in terms of his emotions, but... Pokemon Movie 20: I Choose You!

Nov 6, 2018

Possible Spoilers The story was a delightful twist on the classic Pokemon tale. I loved seeing a new perspective on the characters as well as the difference in storyline.  I Choose You kept some of the most essential aspects to the Pokemon storyline, while also altering some of the other important details in order to make it still suspenseful.  I'm both happy that they took this different route, but also a bit disappointed.  I'm happy that they managed to recreate the original story, while making it different enough that I was still in suspense, I was still interested by... Pokemon

Nov 6, 2018

This anime will always have a special place in my heart.  I remember watching this every morning before school.  As I got older, the enjoyment for this anime increased.  It's one of the most popular animes in the world, yet it still holds it's own as a piece of art that stands the test of time.  Many other animes have tried to have a formula like Pokemon, but never quite hit the mark.  Pokemon is timeless in the way that it incorporates tv series, video games, manga, and merchandise, making it hard for anyone to avoid it.  Indigo League was the first real anime that I was ever... My Hero Academia 2

Nov 6, 2018

Possible Spoilers - So far, this is my favorite season of My Hero Academia.  I really enjoyed how the plot was driven not only by Midoriya, but also by the other characters. Many of them developed so much within just a few episodes, which really made the season more enjoyable than the first in my opinion.  Midoriya developed quite a lot in this season.  He challenges himself, and he also becomes more steadfast in his identity.  His personality grows, but he still remains the caring kid he was in the first season, just now more determined. Bakugo doesn't develop much, he remains the same... See full review

My Hero Academia

Nov 6, 2018

Warning - this review may contain spoilers Story- I wanted to start off by addressing my opinion on the story and the overarching themes within it.  My Hero Academia addresses some common themes in the superhero drama, hinting on ideas of adolescence, insecurity, and rising above difficulties.  I appreciated how well the story forms itself around Midoriya, which will be addressed further on in my review regarding the characters.  I think that the trope of the underdog hero that gets blessed with incredible power, and ultimately grows into the best hero, gets used quite often in the anime...
