Jun 20, 2020There are so many reviews talking about how great this manga is, but no critics. Let's change that. SO-
I dropped this manga after almost 200 something chapters, I think. I have a terrible memory and Inread this years ago. Like everyone else, I loved it and thought it was the best. Eventually, it loses its touch. The female characters are annoying and too dependent on the male lead, they're just damsels in distress. Before they were able to fight on their own but then suddenly they just. . . became weak? I don't know, but I don't like that. The male lead was intelligent and admirable at first, but now he's just plain annoying and makes cringe expressions. AND the ML needs to grow up already!! So many chapters and he's still a kid?! C'MON!!!!!
Despite me saying that the female characters are weak, I should also specify that by weak I don't mean entirely helpless. I think mentally weak is a better phrase for them, I wish they had a stronger mentality because it would improve their character greatly.
His obsession with that purple-haired girl is like Naruto and Sakura, just not as intense. It's annoying. I shipped him with the other girl more. I hate it when my ships don't sail.
AHEM!! So, in the end, I dropped it. No regrets.

at over 300 now and its 9/10 for me and having read over 500 of the same genre that's saying a lot, I feel like you haven't given it a fair go and if you left for a long time you should of taken your time to re-read it. so far I have re-read 5 times and my enjoyment is through the roof.
About MC being the same after 200 chapters, MC is being "alive" for over 150 years(i think he tells in one chapter that he spends like 100 years inside this notebook of his) so him staying the same after so much time and basicly knowing the future is kind of given. Why should he change ? At some point people stay they same and just grow older this is the thing. More annoying for me is his memory of freaking everything this is some BS if i m honest i know he could be over 100 years old sage but sages write stuff they know to not forget stuff. Author should use this amulet or something like memory disk or smoething because him remembering all the shit that he remembers is just dumb.

I can't really agree with most or any of the statements you made. Quitting before chapter 200 seems pretty quick. 200 sounds like much but is like 40-50 chapters in actual quantity of pages - compared to other manga. I'll elaborate why I disagree down below so if anyone's interested and doesn't care about spoilers, go ahead.
Spoiler free conclusion to the stuff below:
You dislike the story because mc likes his lover who he thought had died more than a girl he barely knows (at this time in the story). You dislike the story because you find mcs facial expressions cringy. You don't like stories with either children as protagonists or you want the superficial feeling of them getting strong fast through timeskips or fast time progression. You find it weird that 13 year old girls are mentally weaker (weaker, not weak imho) than a dude who's like two centuries old (which is only temporary, they eventually grow more mature as the story progresses - as it should be).
I don't see you actually criticizing the story anywhere but still you rated it 3/10. The story is borderline crap because your favourite girl isn't together with the mc (yet - probably) and because weak girls (at that point in the story) are dependent on someone who actually has fighting experience? I don't want to be a fangirl but giving a 3/10 feels way exaggereted for the sole reason of countering all the positive reviews (some or maybe even the majority of them may be exaggerated as well but that doesn't make it less wrong imho). At least give some objective reasoning.

Well, the thing it has been hinted several times that he's some kinda descendant of some god/creator so obviously it shouldn't take him as much time. Those law gods who took 3 years (I don't quite remember, was it 3?) to start comprehending laws are actually only small fish in the story. Also I really don't know what you're talking about regarding the girls. They are strong as fck. Obviously not compared to him but they are or will get stronger than all the other male side-protagonists...
Mentally weak, yes, they were 13-14 year old when you stopped reading. MC is like one or two centuries old of course he has more fighting ability and mental strength. They all go through personal growth later on.
They should be 16 right now (ch330).
Let me try to summarize why you dislike the story and what's weird about that:
1. The characters are children and only aged around one year in (not even) 200 chapters. 1 chapter in this story is like 9 pages. I checked some more popular manga and they have around 40-50 pages per chapter so you were at around chapter 50 of a normal manga progression wise which is a pretty good pace for the amount of time that passed - at least compared to other popular manga. You must dislike stories with normal time progression and no timeskips in general then.
2. Female characters are annoying. Well, that's subjective and shouldn't influence the story rating but character rating so I guess that's kinda valid, even so I myself have to disagree here. They are not crying about every little thing, they don't have any stupid childhood backstories or motivations that seem way too exaggerated but behave pretty much like normal people - as far as people can and should be in such stories.
3. The "they were strong and suddenly became weak" argument is, weird?. They don't and are pretty much the strongest after mc.
4. His obsession with the purple haired girl is too intense. Well, they were lovers in his previous life and she got killed - then he lived on for half a century or more (I can't really remember) and died, only to find himself back in his 13 year old body with everyone he cherished still alive... It would be pretty weird to suddenly fall for a different girl, wouldn't it? In like 1 year of kinda getting to know her? Apart from that, I can see how he'll end up with both. There are some things getting revealed later on making mc probably like other girl more.
You're 100% right it starts to get boring and repetitive what made me finely stop reading is when he started using law magic when its something that everyone else spend their whole lifetime to achieve most not even achieving it
I mean it's been 200 chapters so yeah i would like to seem his grow 😶
