Pikupal, the reason I use gender-neutral pronouns instead of gendered pronouns is because, in my own small sphere, I would like to get people used to reading and interacting with gender-neutral pronouns. There is no need for pronouns to have gender attached to them (and sometimes there is harm in that), so I would love to see a world where gendered pronouns were eventually phased out entirely.
