Hi. I just saw your comment on Mikasa. It really pains me that so many people are hating on her, saying she has no depth and no development. I really dont get where this criticism comes from. I definitely saw a change in Mikasa after chapter 106 in the manga. Maybe she hasn't changed much in the anime, but to be fair, the anime didn't give other characters the depth they really needed like Levi, Eren, Erwin and Reiner. Also everyone is fiercely defending Levi as a character but are writing off Mikasa. I just dont get this at all when Mikasa has so many similar traits to Levi.
Exactly i agree with you, glad you understand my pain. Honestly, most of the Shounen or generell Writers in overall have HUGE problem of writing female character. Seriously if i can say it, in 18 years of anime, i found around less then 10 good ar decent Female Anime character, which i would score above 5/10. Most of them are either sidekicks, fan service whores, screamers, childhood friends or other stereo types, Forced Strong Woman or other one dimensionl creations. I mean sure, we got some "badass" Girls as well, but beside being badass, they are onedimensional as well. many of those ended up in some "Girl of 2021" Lists what ever and i might even agree. BUT the writing behind it still sucks. And i dont know why they keep doing it.
This is one of the Reasons why i like Nezuko in Demon Slayer, she just doesnt talk at all. Quiet in her fking box and everything is alright.
