DISCLAIMER: THIS REVIEW IS MADE ENTIRELY THROUGH THE POV OF SOMEONE (ME) WHO HAS READ THE NOVEL SO I'M GONNA BE SOMEWHAT BIASED AND THIS ALSO CONTAINS SPOILERS SO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK
IRNTDGL is one if not the best novels I have ever read so when I found out that it got it's own manhua adaptation, I was overjoyed so I read this filled with high expectations, surely a great novel would have a great manhua adaptation as well and all I can say is "It's... Good enough but not quite"
While the adaptation is quite good, there were a lot of scenes where it made me say something along the lines of "This doesn't feel right" because I felt like they didn't capture the overall ambience of the said scenes like the scene where he was asked by the store owner on the store next to him to help with fixing their TV, back when I read that scene on the novel it gave me goosebumps even tho I already know why that actually happened but when I saw that scene through the adaptation, it just made me say "Meh, don't feel anything", what I mean is that it didn't really give me the same level of hype the novel made me feel or at least something similar to that level.
I was also really disappointed when some scenes got changed, while this is a common occurrence when it comes to novels getting adapted but honestly there were unnecessarily changes, of course this is just my opinion so I'm pretty sure not every would agree to what I just stated since well, it's an opinion that's neither truth nor fact.
I honestly want to say more but I still have a lot of things to do so I'm just gonna say this as the conclusion of this review; this story is really great and will definitely be a worthy read if you're into funny yet great misunderstandings, action, mystery, op mc's, comedy and a little bit of gore, though it isn't the best, it certainly will be good but if you want a more in depth version of the plot then I recommend you to also read the novel as it's better in terms of telling the reader the plot and it's really awesome.
Ps. This review is obviously sloppy but I just really wanted to share my thoughts about this adaptation lol
