The drop code that you are recieving is due to copying and pasting anything that is code based into the link field. It doesn't copy the format, just the code that will generate the actual format that you are looking for. So somethings you are not able to do base on Anime Planet's editing limitations.
In order for you to keep the text from seperating, hold down the shift key when you hit enter.
So instead of having the space above... it will look like this.
