As for Taichi Yaegashi, I can't say for certain my opinion on him as I haven't quite finished Kokoro Connect yet. So far he isn't winning me over--he, like most heroes/heroines, are too helpful and kind to others while not for themselves and if this type of persona is pulled off correctly [which is usually isn't] I don't like it.
Just for the record, I'm okay with you not being my boyfriend. :(
I haven't finished kokoro connect either, and I don't think that I will. Those MCs with their help everybody things just makes me mad. Like how bitchface (can't remember the name) treats that one guy like shit and he still cares about her.... and I'd rather die than be treated like that. And fuck helping people that suck.

Well it's hard to choose which charas I love.... I mean if I like one chara, I feel like I need to like the other charas too.... :(
