No stolkholm syndrome, no weird noncon scenes, and no vagueness or implying of a relationship. This movie slaps you hard in the face with all of its beautiful, wholesome gayness.

The relationship between Shun and Mio is very realistic, it builds up slowly and naturally. It's just two guys who fell in love with each other.

These characters at first glance appear to be surface level, but as the movie progresses, it gets deeper and more nuanced. Having never experienced homophobia before, Mio is eager to be as close to Shun as he can, whilst Shun struggles with the bullying from the kids at school, and the rejection from his parents in the past. This creates a conflict between the two as they, mostly Shun, struggles to move on from his past.

The art and animation throughout is beautiful, as well as the music. I really adored this film, and I believe any BL fans would as well.
