Me! Me! Me!

Feb 6, 2015

Me!Me!Me! is just pretentious controversia to make you think for a little bit and forget about it until someone else mentions it, it will take some years so people would look back and said, ooh yeah, Me!me!me!... it has a nice message, and that will be all! The short has a pretty darn good animation and does a great coreography with the Music, the mind-fuck is actualy quite mind-fucking, and if you don't watch it for the "deep" "realistic methaporical" aspect, I think it does a great job in the ecchi department, pretty sexy and fapable material despite of being somewhat disturbing, of... Sword of the Stranger

Aug 10, 2014

This is one of those, fuck you elaborated mindblowing story, I want to do what I want. So, sure the plot is written with the logic of a kid entering to his teenage years, however it also have the heart of one; You can feel the lighthearted but strong love and passion on this film, It portraits itself for what it is, nothing amazing, just a "typical" Samurai story with cool fights, but it focus heavily just in that, and the results are outstanding, So if you watch this for the action and/or love for samurais, you will be more than satisfied, the animation is quite spectacular, I think that a little... The Vision of Escaflowne

May 18, 2014

Setting (Good : 1.5) : This is something quite memorable and it is worth the watch, is like code geass of the 90s, but quite better, why? because its a combination of so many genres: mecha, adventures, fantasy, sci-fi, romance around a massive war between two sides, and it is not pretensious as CG. At the same time it feels so similar to an rpg game due the cliches it has, I swear they could make one, and people wouldn't recognize wich one came before without telling them the answer. So it was very refreshing and enjoy it very much. It also had reference to our world such as Italy, Spain, China and of... See full review

Rurouni Kenshin: New Kyoto Arc

Oct 23, 2013

Story (Terrible)
I highly recommend NOT to watch this, seriously don't, but who I am to tell you what to do.
It could had been a pretty cool REMAKE but no matter how you see it won't be good for the next reasons:
1.- What you see in here, is fit in less than 2 hours (around 3 episodes and a half) and it was covering around 20 episodes of the original story, plus another 20 of introduction before of what we are watching in here, so it is incomplete, so characters end being forced and not fully respected about their ideals like in the show, battles feel cheap, and the story is just rushed to the... Rurouni Kenshin: Seisouhen

Oct 14, 2013

Story (Great)
First the most important thing, and the only thing that I don't actually like about it, is that you have to watch the TV series and it would be highly recommended to watch Tsuioku Hen as well, the reason is that it is all based on what is there, without that it is an already started story that you won't pour yourself since the lack of introduction, this it is technically the conclusion, and a master piece of conclusion in my opinion. [Spoiler: Rant about Authour Opionion]
Let's go on, If someone doesn't like this OVA, it is fine, I really see why, but when people throws the lame excuse... See full review

Sword Art Online

Here is the Overrated Anime of 2013 : Attack On Titan http://www.anime-planet.com/users/MrChearlie/reviews/12340  Story (Terrible)
Well, to begin with the premise isn't new, is actually pretty old and has been used some quite times in the past, people get trapped on a beautiful cruel game and they have to do something in order to get out of there. There is Tron, Mini Spies 3, Hack, An episode of of the fairy oddparents, the simpsons, some other bunch of examples which I forgot, but there are derivations of it outside of the game concept like Angel-Beats, Matrix or Inception, even the Wizard of Oz... Here is the Overrated Anime of 2012 : Sword Art Online http://www.anime-planet.com/users/MrChearlie/reviews/12341   Story (Average)
This has actually been tarnished because of the obsessive fans, if it wasn't for them, I would said cool brainless entertainment in someway, but fans makes everything bigger than it actually is, terrible because I can notice a lot of flaws and their blindness kinds of annoy me. But compared with SAO it actually manage to hide their wicked non-elaborated story. So I will ignore some of my hatred bias against this show and deal with it with what it deserves on my... Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children

Sep 19, 2013

Enjoyment (Average) Well, I never actually play FF7. I played FF XIII which I didn't think it was a great deal, neither a terrible one, and many FF old fans have tell me that FF XIII is square enix going downhill so it is like one of the worst games to said that I actually know in depth FF, I played chocobo racing and enjoying the heck of it, one crystal chronicles wich is not really part of the MAIN titles, as well one of the "sequels" life as darklord (demo). And 20 minutes of all the first six games, so nope, turn-based RPGs are not my thing, and I barely play games so I am far from... See full review

The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya

Sep 8, 2013

So, for those who didn't watch the show (just in case). Do I need to watch it first? you are suppose to, indeed, for getting all the reference that the movie is pointing out that are quite a lot and important ones, since this is more like a sequel of some arcs, and even a prequel for some other arcs of the Melancholy of Haruhi. But is not a must, they quite explain everything fine in order for you to understand what is going on, is not really a script for brilliant people. Just understand what the premise of Haruhi is all about and you will have enough. Also, I do not plan to review the show, because I... See full review

STORY (Great)  Everything is over the top, far fetched, cheesy, and as Great as the title promise to be and I enjoy the heck out of it. While it not only made me laugh my ass off, it really leave me a good taste about the message they wanted to show, so It wasn't just for the sake of brainless entertainment.

Fuck laws, orthodox methods, stigmas about what is wrong and right, these doesn't exist when is about to teach, or at least that is what's the story about and is really a sweet deal, since it show how far it take sometimes for someone to admit that the others are not the only ones... I'm gonna fix the english mistakes as soon as I notice.    Story (Good) Certainly a Swiss cheese, but a delicious one! what I am saying is that do not expect to have a solid story in terms of coherence, it isn't a complete puzzle, it has a lot of plot holes that didn't made me to enjoy this anime as many others,  since it doesn't build up too much when we are talking about the setting but it builds enough. Enough for what? well, here comes the good part, it builds enough to build up its message in a pretty good and heart-warming way. In that aspect... yeah it makes sense and it was... See full review

The Rose of Versailles

Jul 7, 2013

Mi bad english, mi fix errors as soon as mi notice them. I just finish it, so I'm still a little speechless, not because I don't have anything to said, but the opposite, I don't know where to start, I just want to talk a lot about it, there are so many things on it and many that are rarely treated nowadays on anime in this way.

Funny thing that many shows I have loved, have a premise or something that doesn't attract me much; the life of a hikkimori, or the life of space garbage men, in this case it was the year it was made, 1979, but recommendations where all good and now I am very glad I... See full review

May 12, 2013

English is not my strong suit, however, I triple-check my grammar every time I finish a review. Any mistake should be fix a soon as I notice and any help on this matter would be truly appreciated

The Good Part Animation is amazing and nostalgic. The presentation is a parody of western culture and humour but at the same time a really well-made cult to the western-cartoons. Both things together create a unique cartoon-anime combination that is worth to watch.
The Bad Part The humour is not very well balanced, some episodes are pure win, others are not so funny.
Warning: This show... See full review

My English is not the best, but I'm giving my best effort, any mistake should be fixed as soon as I notice, any help in this matter would be truly appreciated.

The Good Part The animation is amazingly dynamic and expressive, a worthy visual delight.  Symbolism and surrealism are handled pretty subtle and with great quality.   Not the prize for best characters but they flesh lots of characters in very creative ways so the outcome is great.
The Bad Part Even when symbolism are great, the realistic aspect appears to be lacking of details. The pacing sometimes seems to be weird... See full review

My english is terrible, but I am trying my best, any mistake will be fixed as soon as I notice. If you notice me about one I would appreciate it a lot. This is a review for the two seasons, and will mention the ova but it won't affect the scores.  The Good Part The theme of this anime is pretty interesting and is delivered with a proper and very good focus. Outstanding Setting. The dynamic between the two main characters is great.  The Bad Part Sometimes it can turn slow and give you the sensation that you kind of watching a filler (Which isn't truth) because the story takes a... My English can be terrible, as soon as I notice a mistake I should fix it, if you notice an error and let me know I would appreciate it. The Good Part  it.. has good ecchi? The Bad Part  Everything is based on the rule of cool (looks cool but doesn't makes too many sense), just badly camouflagued with greek mythology. Story (Terrible) This is how this show works, it might sound familiar, pick a random guy with unexplained ideals of justice to be the hero, and give him a girl that just fall in love with him for being awesome in less than a minute, no doubts, she just will fall in love... My english is terrible but I'm trying my best, if I find any mistake I will fix it as soon as I can, if you want to let me know about one, feel free to do so, I would appreciate it. The Good Part  The humour in the show always remains with a stable quality in all of his episodes so if you share the same humour this will be great for you. Moe... moe? is this really moe? whathever the hell is this, has some cute (kawaii) moments, but this is actually just girls being girls, If considered Moe it's something unique since it get rids of what moe is nowadays and that is: a fucking popularity contest... (If you let me know of a mistake I would appreciate it a lot) The Good Part The music was beautiful. It delivers a great message in somehow unexpected way. The Bad Part Despite of the great message the show goes pretty slow before they can show you the real colors of it, and it is done pretty rushed when that happens.  Animation sometimes makes the characters look lifeless. Mi Inglish Is Tirrible but I'm trying my best, so my apologies if there is any error, I should fix them as soon as I notice them. The Good Part Pretty ordinary premise, but permorfed spectacular in every aspect, becoming something exceptional; Story, Animation, Characters, Details. Made for an incredible wide audience, since it has elements from a lot of genres without loosing consistency. The Bad Part Coincedences sometimes are pretty big and may be unrealistic. Mi Inglish Is Tirrible but I'm trying my best, so my apologies if there is any error, I should fix them as soon as I notice them. The Good Part: Animation is so stylish! Sounds weird, but it is actually a good part, the fanservice has a relevance to the characters. The characters were great on a hopeless plot. The Bad Part: I really like this part, but a lot of people find it annoying, that is, the characters are talking all the time and sometimes about things that aren't so relevant. This show is just good because the fan-service and the animation, without this all, most of character flavor will... See full review

Kino's Journey

Jan 24, 2013

Mi Inglish Is Tirrible but I'm trying my best, so my apologies if there is any error, I should fix them as soon as I notice them. The Good Part:  Pretty charming little stories with pretty interesting details that make you to think for a while. The Bad Part:  The stories last just one episode (except one) so even if they were are good they become superficial since they don't really affect the rest of the story, so there is no really a deep development. The pace is extremely slow, one reason is that it lacks of music, most of the time I was begging for them to put one of their songs of... See full review
